  1. I remember it well, even though I was 5 years old. We were taught not to forget what transpired and how it happened. thanks for reliving history.....stay well....

  3. i don't remember it as it happened 4 days before my father's birth, but i feel as if i do. my grandfather used to tell us of it over and over and over. he ingrained the hate and the pride and the patriotism until it was a part of us. we all need to remember it more. i am saddened that it seems to get less attention every year.

  4. I found it interesting that remembrance of this on the local news came after the weather report. Guess it just isn't important anymore, huh?

  5. Benning, great post BTW, I know a couple of our local stations always lead with the weather now.
I had two Uncles in the war, but they both passed when I was still young and they rarely spoke of it. One fought from the beach to Berlin earning Silver and Bronze Stars and three Purple Hearts. None fought in the Pacific but were preparing to go when we dropped the bombs.
