"I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when...the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal."
There are two must read essays at the American Thinker, one by Jeff Dobbs and the other by James Lewis that go into this much deeper and better than I can. Jeff compares Onama to the rooster of fable, Chanticleer, that believed his crowing made the sun rise and James examines how Obama's feeling of abandonment by his parents powers his need to surroung himself with sycophants and adoring swooning masses.
The tactics Obama and his wife use are straight from Marxism 101 as used and taught by one of his mentors in his community organizing days in Chicago, Saul Alinsky and his Pastor Jeremiah Wright. People must be made to feel so disillusioned about themselves and their future that they will seek radical change and a saviour. Obama sees himself as that person and that is dangerous as it gave us people like Napolean, Lenin, Mao, Hitler and the list goes on. Alinsky wrote in his "Rules For Radicals":
"There's another reason for working inside the system. Dostoevsky said that taking a new step is what people fear most. Any revolutionary change must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people. They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and change the future. This acceptance is the reformation essential to any revolution. To bring on this reformation requires that the organizer work inside the system, among not only the middle class but the 40 per cent of American families - more than seventy million people - whose income range from $5,000 to $10,000 a year [in 1971]. They cannot be dismissed by labeling them blue collar or hard hat. They will not continue to be relatively passive and slightly challenging. If we fail to communicate with them, if we don't encourage them to form alliances with us, they will move to the right. Maybe they will anyway, but let's not let it happen by default.."
That is why Obama has attempted to move to the center recently and tried to distance himself from the radical leftist groups he had courted when running for office in Chicago and downplayed those relationships since. He is trying to pull the wool over our eyes and we must not let him.
Let his self image grow and grow and grow, and keep growing, until it pops.
