Broadway Baby Bernadine Dohrn And Barack Obama: Updated

Finally the MSM is starting to peel back the layers of the onion and it stinks to the core. BO when asked about Bill Ayers has tried to say that what happened when he was eight years old has litttle consequense as he runs for POTUS but it appears Ayers' coconspirator and wife was still up to her dirty tricks into the '80s including ID theft, robbery, and murder. Chicago Tribune reporter John Kass actually did a little bit of legwork and investigative journalism and uncovered this under reported story.

So let's wait until Labor Day, when Broadway Baby may become a catchphrase. Here's why: According to a 1982 New York Times report, Broadway Baby was implicated in an investigation of a series of violent armed robberies in New York—netting more than $2 million over a two-year span—committed by former Black Panthers and Weather Underground members in the early '80s.

Their aim? Global revolution, naturally. They needed cash, but the rich white parents weren't in a giving mood. So their privileged offspring grabbed guns, pointed them at the faces of the working man and, sometimes, they pulled the trigger.

Read the whole thing as he has quite a few details.

Michelle Malkin has a round up of other links to those also looking into the Obama, Ayers, Dohrn connections and just how deep they go including funding the PLO through the Woods Foundation and Rashid Kalidi.
Rick Moran has much more on the connections Barack has to other seedy characters from the Middle East besides Tony Rezko.

No wonder Hamas and other islamo terror groups are rooting for cut and run Barack to win.

Following some of the links from Michelle's post I found UTube videos of the Weather Underground and it seems the language of the moonbats has not changed at all in 40 years and sounds just like Code Pink and the other anti-war kooks out there. The "New Left is now the Old Left and has taken over the Democratic Party and is just as freaky as ever.

Update: LGF and Jawa Report and Front Page have uncovered another terrorist fundraiser for Obama that used to work for a group shut down by the Feds that is now a full time fundraiser for the Obama campaign and Michelle Obama is listed as one of his friends. Charles has the screen cap proving it.
Charles also has info on Obama's chief blogger as a full fledged marxist.
Here’s an article by Sam Graham-Felsen at the Harvard Crimson, expressing his admiration for anti-American academic Noam Chomsky, and advising him to tone down the extreme rhetoric in order to trick the unwashed masses into following
along: Chomsky’s Choice.

Quoted from Front Page via Rusty.
Two years ago, Hatem El-Hady was the chairman of the Toledo, Ohio-based Islamic charity, Kindhearts, which was closed by the US government in February 2006 for terrorist fundraising and all its assets frozen. Today, El-Hady has redirected his fundraising efforts for his newest cause - Barack Obama for President

Anti-War "Peace" Thugs Assault Veteran And His Family

Thee moonbats are getting violent now because they aren't getting their way and are being proven wrong at every turn. A 14 year old boy and son of a veteran was part of a Gathering of Eagles counter-protest and was attempting to film the moonbats when they got aggressive. His parents came to his aid and they were jumped and beaten by the "peace" activists. Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit and John Lilyea have the details. The sad part is that the police and onlookers did nothing, no arrests were made. John had this to say.

There is a disturbing trend of escalating violence from the Left, probably stemming from their frustration that they’re losing the argument and they’re being proved wrong, in terms of our national security. They’re coming to the realization that they don’t represent the majority of Americans like Nancy Pelosi and Medea Benjamin told them last year.

But, I blame this trend of violence on authorities who coddle the protesters fearing lawsuits and taking a beating the media. The longer authorities allow this behavior to continue, it’s going to get worse before it gets better. The more crimes the Left can get away with, the more they’re going to attempt until someone finally dies (that’s what ended the Vietnam War protests). The Left are like insolent children who will continue to push the limits of the law until the law starts pushing back.

2008 is starting to look more and more like 1968 and it will all come to a head like a festering boil at the Democrat's convention in Denver as Jim has been covering quite closely. Heck even the Weather Underground and the Black Panthers are back in the news. This is the Democrat's base of support folks, far left socialist, America hating thugs with Barack Obama as their champion.

The Long Awaited Pennsylvania Showdown: Updated

It is stiil fairly early but it has been called for Clinton though she will make up little in the delegate count she may close the gap quite a bit in the popular vote count which will be the gist of her argument to the super-delegates. The only interest I really have is seeing Barack and Hillary continue to bloody each other up and disgust the general electorate for a couple more months as more and more comes out about Barack and his radical associates and politics.
Glancing around Politico's county by county breakdown Hillary has kicked his butt in all but one small county that is the heart of Philly with about 50% of the vote counted.
Update: Well it looks like Clinton has erased Barack's popular vote lead or put a very serious dent in it depending on how you interpret Real Clear Politics' tally of previous primaries. Bottom line, it ain't nowhere near being over, I guess Operation Chaos could be deemed a success.

Barack's Buddies, Ayers And Dohrn Unplugged: Updated

Hugh Hewitt is playing some recent,'07, audio from BO's friend Bill Ayers on his radio show tonight and wow is all I can say. Here is a small clip that Hugh has transcribed so far and I will link to the audio when it gets posted.

Empire resurrected, and unapologetic, war without end. An undefined enemy that is supposed to be a rallying point for a new kind of energized jingoistic patriotism. Unprecedent and unapologetic military expansion. White supremcy changing its form, but essentially in tact. Attacks on women and girls --violent attacks. Growing surveillance in every sphere of our lives. On and on and on. The targeting of gay and lesbian people as a kind of a scapegoating gesture, to keep our minds off of what is really happening.

This isn't mainstream or even center-left stream, this is far far left stream.

Update: Powerline has more on Ayers and Dohrn as well as the audio clips from 2007

Obama Weak On Gang Murderers

Hmm, Chicago has a gun ban similar to that in DC and 32 people were shot there last weekend yet the safest states and big cities allow gun ownership and concealed carry. I related a story a while back about a veteran that had survived three tours in Iraq but was gunned down outside a Cubs game in Chicago, sounds like Baghdad, Mosul and Fallujah may be safer than our big cities that ban personal gun ownership or restrict them to the point of uselessness.

All Is Lost For The Democrats As Life Returns To Normal In Iraq

A positive good news piece from the AFP about farmers returning to their fields for the first time in years after Al Qaeda was finally run off by American surge forces in Arab Jabur.

Three months after US forces dropped tonnes of bombs on Arab Jubur and put Al-Qaeda to flight, farmers are everywhere out in their fields tending their tomatoes.

Homes in the Sunni Arab rural patch about 25 kilometres (15 miles) south of Baghdad, meanwhile, are being rebuilt, schools reopened, roads repaired and irrigation pumps renewed, even as shopkeepers happily dust off their shelves.

"It's the first time in three years I am able to work in my lands," said Ammar Wadi, a 30-year-old vegetable farmer who also runs a small dairy herd.

His lands, on the banks of the Tigris, are thriving. Besides tomatoes, he also grows ochre and wheat, while some of his 30 acres is devoted to pastures.

"When Al-Qaeda was here it was impossible to farm," said the jolly-faced farmer from under an orange cap while taking time out from his labours to visit his cousin's newly-reopened grocery store on a dusty rural road.
...
"We left with only the clothes we were wearing," said Juburi, a square-jawed man with high eyebrows and wells of deep sadness in his eyes.

"Al-Qaeda are the worst criminals on earth," he said standing before large posters of his slain relatives displayed among others killed by Al-Qaeda at a memorial set up at the local community centre.

"I hope they never come back. We now just want to farm in peace. I hope the Americans stay here for a long, long time," he said.

Who would have thought the French press would be reporting good news better than ours?

National Review Interviews Mike Yon

Mike is back in the US for a while to promote his book "Moment of Truth in Iraq" and sat down with Katheryn Jean Lopez for an extended interview that is a must read.

Kathryn Jean Lopez: What does it mean to be American “in the most romantic sense of the word” and why is it essential to counterinsurgency?

Michael Yon: Remember the scene in Lawrence of Arabia, where Peter O’Toole executes an Arab friend? “It was written,” Anthony Quinn tries to console him. Lawrence turns on him furiously and declares “Nothing is written.” It’s a very American moment in an English story. Americans live in a romance of possibility; we say “we can do it!” We reject fate.

Replacing fatalism with hope is crucial in a counterinsurgency. The citizen is trapped by despair — caught between an inept and/or corrupt local government and brutalizing terrorists. So when the government comes looking for the terrorists-next-door, the neighbors say nothing. That’s how insurgencies survive.
Counterinsurgency is political war. Governments that can’t remove sewage, lose the people. So in a counter insurgency American soldiers trained to hunt and kill terrorists may find themselves in a Baghdad neighborhood talking to the locals about sewage removal.

Strange combo, you might say — warriors and sewage removal. But these warriors are Americans. If it needs to be done, they do it or help do it. And next thing you know, the locals are telling our folks where the terrorists are hiding.

The romance of self-reliance. Replacing fatalism with hope. This is absolutely essential because counterinsurgency works only if people help defend themselves.

The American soldier is the most dangerous man in the world, and the Iraqis had to learn that before they would trust or respect our folks. But it is only after they see with their own eyes these great-hearted warriors, who so enjoy killing the enemy, are even happier helping to build a school or to make a neighborhood safe that we really got their attention.

Aach, Barf: Thomas Frank Is An Idiot Elitist

I don't think I have ever read a bigger pile of condescending tripe as this since I read Marx and Nietzsche a few decades ago. Yes Mr Frank I am bitter because idiots like you continue to pollute the media. I am bitter because my state run by liberal Democrats continues to drive away jobs through over taxation and regulation. I am bitter because the homosexual lobby is trying to force their agenda down my throat as normal and benign when it is not. I am bitter because you and yours want to restrict my ability to protect myself and those I love through gun ownership. I am bitter because the open borders lobby has no respect for our laws and sovereignty. I am bitter because God has been stripped from the public sphere and those of us that believe are treated as rubes by the enlightened moonbat fools like yourself.
I am bitter because idiots like you want people like me, a small business owner, to lose faith in the American dream and instead rely on the government to provide all my needs. Sorry but that is not going to happen. I believe in America , its people and the incredible resilience and ability of their vigor for a better way of life free of the trappings of the welfare state. Well Mr Frank here is the virtual finger from a small town living , gun owning, self employed, God fearing, America loving patriot, go f**k yourself and that donkey you are riding.

Inside Sudan

Many in the West think the problems in Sudan are caused by ethno/religio conflicts but it appears that is but part of it. Shane Smith, the same guy from the NoKo documentary, goes to Sudan to find out for himself and what he finds may surprise you, it did me. The other eight parts can be found here and I urge you to go watch them. I'll tell you what, the guy has some major cajones.

Even the poorest of the poor in the West live like kings comparatively.

Who Knew

Breaking News at least to the WaPo, John McCain has a temper, well doesn't everybody to some extent or the other. This all old news and well known but as this response to NRO's The Corner adds much of this story is simply bunk. I actually like the fact that ole Johnny Mac has a fiesty side to him and don't see it has hurting him at all, we don't need a whiney milquetoast for POTUS. It also seems Hillary and Barack have cornered the whine market these days as have their supporters but that is nothing new either.

Hamas Makes Fool Of Jimmy Carter

Well most people with any sense already knows Carter is a fool but just as he is meeting with a top Hamas leader, Hamas attacks Israel at a border crossing and continues to rain rockets on Sderot. Some skilled peace negotiator he is.

Oil, Abiogenic vs Biogenic

Are we near peak oil or just breaking the crust? This is a very interesting study of the various theories surrounding this debate. I am in the abiogenic camp believing that oil and coal are processes of the earth's tectonic forces. It is in PDF format and fairly long with some serious chemistry and physics involved but there is plenty for the layman to get a grasp of the debate as well. I just can't accept the biogenic argument that "fossil" fuels are formed by organic matter as it just doesn't add up to even the known sources. Part of what I find most intriguing is the depth of oil and gas discoveries and the depth of fossil record, for example fossils recovered from coal beds when all examples of such would be gone if the biogenic argument held true. I am by no means a scientist or geologist but it has been a subject that has fascinated me since I was child walking in the woods with my godfather, a physicist and geologist. I have marveled over fossils and studied rock formations as a mountaineer so I am not ignorant to what these folks are saying having paid attention in chemistry class on the building blocks and formation of hydro-carbons, the basis of energy and life.

From Afghanistan, beautiful country, I love the mountains so that is where I would love to be killing jihadi tangos.

Ahh, Mark Steyn At His Best:Updated

Mark chimes in on God and guns and why America is so great because of them not despite them. This is a must read column in the Orange County Register. It is so good I am not even going to take a snip out of it so you have to go read the whole thing. " Guns and God? Hell, Yes", Obama and the moonbat lefties understand neither.
Update: Don't miss Michael Barone's excellent read as well.

Obama The Gun Banner

Well he tried to skate around the issue the other night in the debate and lied about filling out a questionair where he advocated banning the sale, manufacture and possession of handguns. He is opposed to concealed carry anf favors banning all semi-automatic weapons. Now Politico has the scoop on his time at the Joyce Foundation and their support for the banning of handguns.

Barack Obama's presidential campaign has worked to assure uneasy gun owners that he believes the Constitution protects their rights and that he doesn’t want to take away their guns.

But before he became a national political figure, he sat on the board of a Chicago-based foundation that doled out at least nine grants totaling nearly $2.7 million to groups that advocated the opposite positions.

The foundation funded legal scholarship advancing the theory that the Second Amendment does not protect individual gun owners’ rights, as well as two groups that advocated handgun bans. And it paid to support a book called “Every Handgun Is Aimed at You: The Case for Banning Handguns.”

Obama spent eight years on the board of the Joyce Foundation, which paid him more than $70,000 in directors fees

US Army Chorus Greets The Pope

In case you missed it, "The Battle Hymn of the Republic", this my favorite hymn next to "Amazing Grace".

Garbage Island II

The VBS team finally arrives at the edges of the great Pacific garbage vortex. They have posted two more episodes of the series since my last post. You can go here to view the rest. Here is the latest.

How do we clean up this mess and prevent it from growing? It all starts at home folks by picking up trash and preventing it from getting into waterways that flow to the ocean. I do my part by recycling and composting, I generate less than an underdesk trash can of garbage a month that would go into a landfill. We all have to do our part in just these little ways.

Michelle had to find a new company to sell them and AuthenticGOP stepped up to the plate so go get yours now.

SEIU Thugs Disrupt Labor Conference

Just another reason why I dislike unions, 2-300 members of the Service Employees International Union cause havoc and injuries as they disrupt a conference.

About 15 conference participants were acting as security at the banquet hall doors. When the chanting protesters entered, waving noisemakers, they and others quickly formed a double line in front of the doors, linking arms to block the way. Some participants were thrown to the ground by larger SEIUers. One protestor broke through the first line and, finding himself trapped between the two lines, flailed wildly. Former Labor Notes office manager Dianne Feeley, a retiree from American Axle, was pushed and fell, cutting her head, and was treated at an emergency room. Protesters continued to try to advance toward the doors, some nonviolently and others more aggressively.

Moonbat Fallout

Obama's mindless moonbat minions are in a totally outraged high dudgeon that ABC's Gibson and Stephanopolous actually dared to ask his hopeness about some of his radical associations and socialist redistributive taxation plans. They are wondering where the policy questions were and missing the point that these questions about gaffes and associates go to matters of honesty and character, important qualities for a POTUS to have. I guess they missed the last few debates that were an endless rehashing of minuscule differences in their policies about socialist healthcare or how fast they can retreat in defeat from Iraq. They can't stand the fact that their messiah is finally getting exposed as the hard left radical socialist that he is and that he won't be able to just walk into the Whitehouse as the saviour of all humanity which of course is impossible for a mere mortal. The moonbats have elevated Obama to such great heights that like Icarrus his wings will melt and he will crash to earth burnt and politically dead.
Now of course the moonbats aren't bothered by Obama's friends like William Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Tony Rezko, Nadhmi Auchi, and Edward Said because the moonbats empathize with America hating terrorists and their supporters and overlook corruption when it suits their end. Hillary is right to bring up all this stuff because it does mean something in the general election when most of America abhors people like that and don't hate their country. Obama has been running in a fish bowl since the beginning and clearly does not understand us simpleton rednecks as anything but bitter gun-toting, racists because we don't buy into his high words of hope and socialist change. His ideas fit in well with with the ivy league liberal circles he is accustomed to but not in middle America and he is shocked by it.
Too bad Barrack, politics at that level is hardball and if you can't take the heat, what are you doing at the plate to begin with?

Michelle has much more of course.

Mitt's Top Ten Reasons For Dropping Out Of The Race

Ha, just as I was commenting at Michelle's that she or Allahpundit needed to post this video AP was posting it. Dang I miss Mitt, this is the guy who should have been on the trail.

Hillary And Obama Meet On Stage Again

I didn't find the live stream till after all the juicy parts from what I gathered from Cap'n Ed's live blogging but thankfully Allahpundit is busy posting clips for us. It seems Hillary smoked Obamessiah and he came of looking pretty bad, Ed said it was his absolute worst performance yet while finally getting grilled for once and John McCain won hands down. He actually got asked about William Ayers, the Weather Underground bomber of the '60s by former Clinton staffer George Stephanopolos.

Masada Will Not Fall Again!

According to reports, President Bush is shying away from visiting the Western Wall in Jerusalem, when he is in Israel for its 60th Yom HaAtzmaut, Independence Day. The Western Walll, the only remaining defensive wall of the First and Second Temples, was deemed too controversial for Bush.

What is it that is so controversial? The Western Wall, since Jewish prayer on its holiest site, the Temple Mount, is severely restricted, has been the focal point of Jewish worship during the most recent return to Zion. Jews have worshipped there since the destruction of the Second Temple. It was off-limits to Jews under Jordanian rule following the 1949 armistice and was liberated in the 1967 Six Day War. This is where the famous picture of Israeli paratroopers looking up at the Wall in awe comes from.

Muslims have recently been staking a claim not only to the Temple Mount, but to the Western Wall as well. They call it Al-Burak and say the religion's founder, Mohammad, tied his horse there during a midnight journey that took him to "the farthest mosque" - which they say is a reference to the Jerusalem mosque later given that name. However, such a claim is extremely weak compared to the millenia of unbroken Jewish worship on the Temple Mount and later the Western Wall. The Qur'an's Night Journey was only associated with Jerusalem decades after the Mosque of Omar was built. The Mosques on the Mount are inscribed with beautiful Arabic caligraphy with many verses from the Qur'an and yet the Night Journey is conspicuously missing.

The Tomb of the Patriarchs, Mearat HaMachpela, in Hevron, is also mentionned explicitly as being too controversial for Bush to visit. He would certainly not want to upset the Arabs by giving the impression that the Tomb of the founders of the Jewish Nation, of Avraham, Yitzhak and Yaakov, and legal inheritors of that parcel of land, has any connection to Jews. Hevron is the second holiest Jewish site and a hallowed place of prayer beginning with Calev, who prayed there during his touring of the Land, that he should not fall into the conspiracy of the Spies. Under Ottoman rule, Jews were not allowed to pray past the 7th step leading to the Tomb. Certainly, such a thing would be too controversial and offensive to Arab sensibilities.

Instead, Bush has opted to visit the fortress of Masada, where one thousand Jews chose to commit suicide rather than fall into the hands of the Romans.

According to the Jewish Virtual Library:

The only written source about Masada is Josephus Flavius’ The Jewish War. Born Joseph ben Matityahu of a priestly family, he was a young leader at the outbreak of the Great Jewish Rebellion against Rome (66 CE) when he was appointed governor of Galilee. He managed to survive the suicide pact of the last defenders of Jodfat and surrendered to Vespasian (who shortly thereafter was proclaimed emperor) – events he described in detail. Calling himself Josephus Flavius, he became a Roman citizen and a successful historian. Moral judgment aside, his accounts have been proved largely accurate.

According to Josephus Flavius, Herod the Great built the fortress of Masada between 37 and 31 BCE. Herod, an Idumean, had been made King of Judea by his Roman overlords and was hated by his Jewish subjects. Herod, the master builder, “furnished this fortress as a refuge for himself.” It included a casemate wall around the plateau, storehouses, large cisterns ingeniously filled with rainwater, barracks, palaces and an armory.

Some 75 years after Herod’s death, at the beginning of the Revolt of the Jews against the Romans in 66 CE, a group of Jewish rebels overcame the Roman garrison of Masada. After the fall of Jerusalem and the destruction of the Temple (70 CE) they were joined by zealots and their families who had fled from Jerusalem. With Masada as their base, they raided and harassed the Romans for two years. Then, in 73 CE, the Roman governor Flavius Silva marched against Masada with the Tenth Legion, auxiliary units and thousands of Jewish prisoners-of-war. The Romans established camps at the base of Masada, laid siege to it and built a circumvallation wall. They then constructed a rampart of thousands of tons of stones and beaten earth against the western approaches of the fortress and, in the spring of the year 74 CE, moved a battering ram up the ramp and breached the wall of the fortress.

Josephus Flavius dramatically recounts the story told him by two surviving women. The defenders – almost one thousand men, women and children – led by Eleazar ben Ya’ir, decided to burn the fortress and end their own lives, rather than be taken alive. “And so met (the Romans) with the multitude of the slain, but could take no pleasure in the fact, though it were done to their enemies. Nor could they do other than wonder at the courage of their resolution, and at the immovable contempt of death which so great a number of them had shown, when they went through with such an action as that was.”

The Zealots cast lots to choose 10 men to kill the remainder. They then chose among themselves the one man who would kill the survivors. That last Jew then killed himself.

It is quite telling that Bush, instead of visiting sites associated with Jewish renewal and connection to Israel, chose to visit a fortress where the Jews took their own lives, determined not to fall into enemy hands. Especially on the heels of Bush's suicidal policies towards the State of Israel, he could not make a more symbolic choice. Hopefully, Bush will learn the lesson of Masada and realize the determination of the Jewish people to be a free nation in our own land. Let him know that Masada will not fall again!

Hell's Kitchen

It ain't quite Iron Chefs but it is fun. Tonight the chef wannabees had to butcher a chicken in under five minutes, something I can do in about two and perfectly, heck I have been doing it since I could wield a knife. These idiots are not cooks, they are poseurs of the worst sort. These folks have never been on a farm obviously and it shows badly. I mean how hard is it to cut a chicken into breasts, legs, thighs and wings sending the backs, necks, feet and giblets into the stock pot. Maybe I should try out for one of these spots as a darn good cook that is not afraid to experiment and expand a recipe.

Great Interview With Mike Yon

A Return Thank You To Our Friends Down-Under

The Aussies are out best and strongest allies and this respect from them is heartfelt. I know I have a few Aussie friends here in the Barnyard so I ask you when you see one of your soldiers tell them Thank You from an American. Via an email Blackfive posted, read the whole thing but here is a clip.

"Before I came over here I thought we (the Australian Army) were pretty shit hot..... was I ever wrong!....The Yanks (I hope you don't mind me using that word) are so professional from the top to the bottom that it is almost embarrassing to be in their company, and to call yourself a soldier....don't get me wrong, we are good at what we do but the Yanks are so much better.....they are complete at what they do, how they do it and their attitude is awesome....they don't complain they just get on with the job and they do it right.

“I carry a Minimi (SAW) so I am not real worried about a confrontation but I tell you I feel safer just knowing that the US Marines are close by....If we got into trouble I know that our boys would come running and we could deal with it but they would probably be passed by a load of Hummers. No questions asked, no glory sought, the Americans would just fight with us and for us because that is their nature, to protect those in need of protection.

“We use the American Mess so you could say that we are fed by the Americans.....they have every right to be pissed at that but they don't bitch about that they just make us feel as welcome as possible....what gets to me is that the Yanks don't walk around with a "we are better than you attitude" and they could because they are, they treat us as equals and as brothers in arms. If nothing else, coming here has taught me that the Americans are a truly great Nation and a truly great bunch of people.

“Let's face it they don't HAVE to be here, they could stay in America and beat the shit out of anyone who threatened them, BUT THEY ARE HERE because they believe they should be here, and the Iraqis would be screwed if they weren't here

Now This Is The Way To Commute To Work

SnObama Campaign Gear Get It Now

Leave it to Michelle Malkin to come up with this great idea and one of her readers for the great photoshop. Get your coffee cup or teeshirt here.

Obama Lies Again

He gave a speech today to the Alliance for Manufacturing that contains so many blatant lies and untruths that it hard to know where to start in addressing them. He says alot about lost jobs going overseas but does not address what drove those jobs out of the country which is high taxation, regulation and overbearing demands from unions that bankrupted them like the auto makers are facing today. He rails about the Bush administration's policies that have produced incredible economic growth despite 9/11, major hurricanes and a major war. How is he going to help workers when he raises taxes and increases regulations on those very corporations that provide quality jobs for millions of Americans? How does it help the workers when he takes the money from investors by taxing their profits on the capital gains leaving them with less to invest to create more jobs or to give more money to their workers? He clearly doesn't understand economics with so many of his statements its appalling.
He blatantly lies when he says he doesn't take donations from PACS or lobbyists or corporations, well he can't because they can't donate to an individual campaign but he sure raised millions from Hollywood and some of his biggest bundlers are lobbyists and oil company executives. Heck those damning statements he made last week were from billionaires row in San Francisco, the richest block in the world, where he raised millions in just four appearances particularly at the oil heir Getty's. I guess he forgot about that visit to convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff's old lobbying firm in Miami where he raised a couple hundred thousand bucks or all the help he received from Tony Rezko currently on trial for bribery and corruption.
I am sure this speech will get fisked by some bloggers far more capable than me because it stinks to high heaven.

John McCain On Obama's San Francisco Remark

Via Mary Katherine Ham is this excerpt from Johnny Mac and they are right on the button. John does understand us simpleton Americans in ways Obama never will as his preferred method of campaigning is the good old townhall meeting and answering questions from the audience and he is darn good at it.

During the Great Depression, with many millions of Americans out of work and the country suffering the worst economic crisis in our history, there rose from small towns, rural communities, inner cities, a generation of Americans who fought to save the world from despotism and mass murder, and came home to build the wealthiest, strongest and most generous nation on earth. They were not born with the advantages others in our country enjoyed. They suffered the worst during the Depression. But it had not shaken their faith in and fidelity to America and its founding political ideals. Nor had it destroyed their confidence that America and their own lives could be made better. Nor did they turn to their religious faith and cultural traditions out of resentment and a feeling of powerlessness to affect the course of government or pursue prosperity. On the contrary, their faith had given generations of their families purpose and meaning, as it does today. And their appreciation of traditions like hunting was based in nothing other than their contribution to the enjoyment of life.

In my other profession and the war I served in, the country relied overwhelmingly on Americans from these same communities to defend us. As Tocqueville discovered when he traveled America two hundred years ago, they are the heart and soul of this country, the foundation of our strength and the primary authors of its essential goodness. They are our inspiration, and I look to them for guidance and strength. No matter their personal circumstances, they believed in this country. They revered its past, but most importantly they believed in its future greatness, a greatness they themselves would create. They never forgot who they were, where they came from, and what is possible in America, a country founded on an idea and not on class, ethnic or sectarian identity. And America must not and will not forget them.

I can say of all the candidates from both parties John would be my choice to sit down for a beer with even though he was not my top pick for the job. I agree with what MKH had to say as well.
When I look at small towns, I don't see seething backwoods cauldrons of religious fanaticism and rifle fire. I see church picnics populated by war heroes and hard-working men and women who strive to raise families well in a world where it's sometimes hard to do that. Most American voters see what I see, and that's why McCain's words this morning ring so true, and will work so well to outline the ever-increasing gap between Obama and him

ROFLMAO

A moonbat speaks what the right has known for years, in flowery words, hee.

Soothing Sunday Sounds

A couple classics from one of my favorite artists, Bob Culbertson, Fur Elise and Greensleeves.

I have his "Moment in Time" CD and I highly recommend it to those that love excellent music performed by a very talented musician. I love stringed instrument music be it grand piano, harpsichord, harp, violin, guitar or his chapman stick.
So how about some blues.

Sunday At Augusta National

Trevor Immelman became only the second South African to win the Masters following in the footsteps of his childhood idol Gary Player. Tiger tried to make a final charge but his putter failed him and he still finished second.

7,000 Taliban Dead From Harsh Winters And British Troops But Mostly British Troops

Wow, 7,000 dead jihadis in just two years KIA by the Brits, great job guys! It makes me wonder how many thousands our boys have taken out over the course of this war, I know the kill ratio is several hundred dead Taliban to one US soldier and now the Marines are in the fight. I would make a guess that between Iraq and Afghanistan at least 50,000 Al Qaeda, Taliban and related groups have been sent to meet Satan's succubi. Times on Line where that report came from also reports that the Brits are going to try and scale back the killing to concentrate more on humanitarian type rebuilding projects. Well not to take anything away from the Brit's soldiers who have fought damn hard they screwed up in Basrah, Iraq and in Helmand, Afghanistan before by pulling back to soon and leaving it for US and local forces to have to go back in and clean up behind them. The jihadis claim they love death so I vote for giving them their wish by killing them before they can kill us.
In other war news Bill Roggio is reporting that the Iraqi government is steadfast in its desire to clean up Sadr City finally and is taking the fight to the Mahdis with gusto.

Moonbat Apologist Jack Cafferty Is Wrong Again

But as Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit points out Pennsylvania has an unemployment rate below the national average and an above average median income. Cafferty nor any of the Democrats recognize that what drives jobs over seas or out of state is high corporate and capital gains taxes added to overbearing regulatary burdens that the Democrats so love not free trade policies that benefit all countries involved. Since I am on that topic I might as well mention that Nancy Pelosi is now being called a stooge for Hugo Chavez by Latin-America and point to another great post at Atlas Shrugs.

Obama Implies Racism

Via Cap'n Ed is this clip from the same speech I quoted from last night on how us poor hardworking folks are cynical about government wanting to help us, darn straight, I want government to get out of my life, he then goes on to say it is a racist cynicism when it's delivered by a black man.

He also links to this quote from Newt Gingrich that hits the nail on the head.

If you go to the most expensive private school in Hawaii and then move on to Columbia University and Harvard Law School, you may not understand normal Americans. Their beliefs are so alien to your leftwing viewpoint that you have to seek some psychological explanation for what seem to be weird ideas.
They can’t really believe in the right to bear arms.
They can’t really believe in traditional marriage.
They can’t really believe in their faith in God.
They can’t really want to enforce the law on immigration.
Therefore, they must be “bitter” and “frustrated.”
This is the closest Senator Obama has come to openly sharing his wife’s view that “America is a mean country”. Not since Governor Dukakis have we seen anyone so out of touch with normal Americans. It makes perfect sense that it was in a fundraiser in San Francisco that he would have shared the views he has so carefully kept hidden for the entire campaign.

The Man Behind The Democratic Party

The always brilliant Pamela Geller takes a look at the man that funds most anti-American front groups behind the Democrats, none other than the neo-socialist, George Soros, in a searing expose`. The man who wants to bring America to its knees, disarm its citizens and place us under the control of the UN. He is of course the main source of funding for the likes of MoveOn.org, Media Matters and Center for American Progress among others. I consider this required reading for those of that love America and have a conservative tilt as Pamela does an excellent job of exposing just what this traitor is up to. She also has extensive links for extended reading or research as you may wish.

On the economic front, he is shorting the dollar in global currency markets, trying to force a devaluation. At the same time, Soros is orchestrating a nationwide movement to encourage mass immigration into the United States, and to mandate the provision of free social services to illegal immigrants. These measures alone have the potential to bankrupt the nation. However, if they fail, Soros has another program that will certainly finish the job. A long-time Soros operative named Jeffrey Sachs has been placed in charge of the United Nations Millennium Project – a global war on poverty designed to transfer wealth from rich countries to poor ones. Sachs is currently demanding that American taxpayers turn over $140 billion per year to his global welfare bureaucracy

And she has much much more where that comes from.
PS: I almost forgot, Soros also supports his puppet, the man of the little people, his hopeness, Barack Obama.

Obama The Elitist Marxist Snob: Updated

His hopeness was out here on the left coast recently raising money from the uber-rich in the Bay Area and had this to say about small town America.

But the truth is, is that, our challenge is to get people persuaded that we can make progress when there’s not evidence of that in their daily lives. You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

Cap'n Ed and Allahpundit have all the links over at Hotair.
I have this to say having been raised in small towns and now own a home in one, f**k you Obama and your snotty condescension. The only thing I am bitter about is elitist snobs with ivy league degrees like you that look down at hard working, God fearing, gun owners that believe we should have secure borders, folks like me and want to tell us how to live and what to think. I was feeling quite happy after a pleasant drive in the California countryside on a job estimate till I saw this and I resent remarks like that with all my soul. Here's some news for you mister millionaire sir hopeness, go back to your million dollar mansion and your marxist friends and leave us small town folks out of it, we don't like you because you are a greasy lying sack of shit politician and it ain't got a damn thing to do with your race. I am proud of my heritage and it sure wasn't as cushy as yours has been, lots of real blood, sweat and tears went into who I am and thank God I live in the USA, a country my ancestors helped found, build and bled for. F**k you and that cock eyed donkey you are riding.
I want the rich to have more money so they can pay me to do work for them so that I may one day join them, that is how it works, not taxing them so I can live off the gov't as you see fit Mr Hopeness.
PS: Don't miss this funny video of Obama's Jedi mind trick.
Update: Stop the ACLU has much more and it appears the entire conservative blogosphere has been set on fire by those remarks.

The Vice Guide To North Korea: Updated

Shane Smith for VBSTV somehow gets into the DPRK with video equipment and actually gets back out with the footage of what life is like under communist totalitarianism. He has posted a 14 part series of short 5 minute clips that gives us a peek, it is similar to a longer documentary I posted a few days ago as he is shepherded around by his guides and keepers but with a little more depth and interaction with his hosts. Here is one clip I liked, one thing I noticed is there are no overweight people and the ladies are very pretty, at least the ones he sees. Also listen to the propaganda and compare it what our left says about America and remember this is the ideology favored by his hopeness Barack Obama and his adoring flock of sheeple.

And drive that propaganda home

The dude has some brass balls so take the time to visit and watch the whole series, it's worth it.
Hattip to Ace of Spades.
Update: Wow VBS is one awesome site, lots of very interesting and disturbing mini-documentaries, I am adding it to my favorites list for future posts for sure.

Taliban Tet, Nope, Not Happening

The MSM moonbat noise machine loves to talk about how Iraq is a mess and because we have been distracted from Afganistan that the Taliban has expanded. Well NATO has issued its new report titled "Progress in Afganistan" that simply discredits the MSM narrative once again. ISAF and the the ANA have pushed the Taliban out of villages and safe havens into the wasteland and are keeping them on the run much like Anbar in Iraq. Ray Robison takes a look at the report and how it coincides with what he has been writing for a while now in this must read article. Here are some statistics he has gleaned.

The Afghan Army is growing in size, experience, and leadership capabilities.
A recent study found that 90% of the Afghan population trusted the countries military force.
More than 4,000 km of roads have been built where only 50 km existed in 2001.
The rehabilitation of the North-East power system has advanced and access of the rural households to electricity has been significantly increased.
In 2007 alone, ISAF nations completed 1,080 civil-military cooperation (CIMIC) projects.
2,000 schools were built or repaired in the last five years and around 6.4 million children (including 1.5 million girls) are now in schools.
Since 2001, both infant and under-five mortality has declined by 26% and 22% respectively.
In 2001, 8% of Afghans had access to some form of healthcare. Now more than 80% of the population has access to medical care.
The non-opium economy has grown at an average of 12% over the past four years; the number of poppy-free provinces has grown from six in 2006 to 13 in 2007.
Afghan public support for international involvement in Afghanistan remains high with around 70% of Afghans supporting the presence of international forces.
The majority of Afghans believe their country is going in the right direction and 84% support their current government (as opposed to 4% who would support the Taliban).
They also maintain a positive view of reconstruction efforts with 63% saying that reconstruction efforts in their area have been effective since 2002.

Yes violence has seen an uptick not because the Taliban are growing but because coalition forces are expanding and pushing into areas once held by the Taliban. Whenever they attempt to stand and fight they are killed in large numbers and the Afgan Army continues to grow and improve.

Must Watch

Via Ace, an Iraqi politician tells the truth.
Iraqi Politicial Tells the Truth

This quote from Michael Totten's latest photo-essay says it all.

Winning over Iraqis is hard. It takes time, but it can be done.

After the town hall meeting in Fallujah, Mukhtar Hamid Hussein approached Captain Eastin.
“We appreciate the security you provide to us,” he said. “And how you watch over us as we also protect you.” Mukhtar Hussein was the chief of Fallujah’s mukhtars. “For a long time we were enemies. But now we are friends.”

“It was a miscommunication,” Captain Eastin said. That was a serious and generous understatement.

“There were mistakes on both sides,” Mukhtar Hussein said. “But now we are brothers.”

Flowers For Friends

Poor Doggie, LMAO

I have become a big fan of Rachel Lucas, hey the chick can shoot and has an enlisted beaux but the pictures of her dogs always crack me up, what a pair of mutts. I am glad I had swallowed my beer when I saw this one posted or I would be draining my keyboard and cleaning my monitor off.
That is Sunny and she doesn't look to sunny here does she, more like "wait till you fall asleep so I can pee in your shoe and eat the other one".

Code Pinkos Wonder Why They Were Kicked Out Of Senate Hearing

They had on their nifty costumes and complained about being singled out for removal. I guess they don't understand that the public is allowed to quietly observe Senate hearings not to disrupt them. A Fox news blogger was there with video camera in hand to record the hissy fit, I couldn't figure out how to embed it so you'll have to head over to Griff's to see it, pretty hysterical. I bet the Capitol police are getting very tired of Code Pinko's shenanigans. Hattip to Allahpundit for the link and picture.

Via Allahpundit, I used to help with the scorebook for my ex's son's team and loved it, the best part of the marriage. There is nothing like little league ball in the spring, greasy fries, sunflower seeds and all.

The Petraeus Report

Gen Petreaus and Amb Crocker returned to the Swamp today for another round of interrogation by clueless defeatocrats though it was not nearly as acrimonious as in September as so much has been accomplished on the positive side. I watched part of it though and thanks to the internet and video sharing I was able to catch up. The Democrats are seething that Petreaus is basically untouchable and unflappable as is Ryan Crocker in their assessment of the undeniable progress that has been made since their arrival in the theater. Here is part of the General's testimony.

The Democrats came across as completely rude, idiotic buffoons and even the Code Pinkos had a very weak showing.

Thank You

A very sincere one to my readers and friends in the blogosphere, since this time last year Barnyard visitation has more than quintupled without being infested by trolls. I have virtually met some of the most intelligent, decent folks in my life as a blogger and hope to continue that success. I also apologize that spring chores, work demands and keeping up with the news has seriously crimped my ability to visit so many friends and comment on the profusion of excellent posts that y'all put up and the list grows by the day.

Why Iraq Matters

Frederick Kagan, one of the architects of the "Surge" and the COIN, counter-insurgency, tactics, has written a long but absolute must read essay that looks at and dismantles all the talking points of the moonbat defeatists in the anti-war party. This is one of the best disections of the left's talking points for retreat in defeat that I have come across so I highly encourage all to take it in. This is how he starts it.

Losing wars is always bad. One of the major reasons for America’s current global predominance economically and politically is that America doesn’t lose wars very often. It seems likely, however, that the American people are about to be told that they have to decide to lose the Iraq war, that accepting defeat is better than trying to win, and that the consequences of defeat will be less than the costs of continuing to fight. For some, the demand to “end this war” is a reprise of the great triumph of their generation: forcing the U.S. to lose the Vietnam War and feel good about it. But even some supporters are being seduced by their own weariness of the struggle, and are being tempted to believe the unfounded defeatism — combined with the unfounded optimism about the consequences of defeat — that hyper-sophisticates have offered during every major conflict. Americans have a right to be weary of this conflict and to desire to bring it to an end. But before we choose the easier and more comfortable wrong over the harder and more distasteful right, we should examine more closely the two core assumptions that underlie the current antiwar arguments: that we must lose this war because we cannot win it at any acceptable cost, and that it will be better to lose than to continue trying to win.

Obama's Father's Marxism

Well this explains alot about what Barack Obama Jr believes and why he sought out marxist professors, hung out with radicals and joined a church that is marxist at its core. The dreams of his father were conventional communism pure and simple as pointed out in a paper the elder Obama wrote and uncovered by Prestopundit, (hattip: Jim Hoft). Those dreams were, 100% taxation, no private property, nationalization of all businesses, elimination of classes and much more. Greg looks at Obama's book "Dreams of my Father" at does some investigative journalism you won't see in the MSM.

1. Obama advocated the communal ownership of land and the forced confiscation of privately controlled land, as part of a forced "development plan", an important element of his attack on the government's advocacy of private ownership, land titles, and property registration. (p. 29)

2. Obama advocated the nationalization of "European" and "Asian" owned enterprises, including hotels, with the control of these operations handed over to the "indigenous" black population. (pp. 32 -33)

3. Obama advocated dramatically increasing taxation on "the rich" even up to the 100% level, arguing that, "there is no limit to taxation if the benefits derived from public services by society measure up to the cost in taxation which they have to pay" (p. 30) and that, "Theoretically, there is nothing that can stop the government from taxing 100% of income so long as the people get benefits from the government commensurate with their income which is taxed." (p. 31)

4. Obama contrasts the ill-defined and weak-tea notion of "African Socialism" negatively with the well-defined ideology of "scientific socialism", i.e. communism. Obama views "African Socialism" pioneers like Nkrumah, Nyerere, and Toure as having diverted only "a little" from the capitalist system. (p. 26)

5. Obama advocates an "active" rather than a "passive" program to achieve a classless society through the removal of economic disparities between black Africans and Asian and Europeans. (p. 28) "While we welcome the idea of a prevention [of class problems], we should try to cure what has slipped in .. we .. need to eliminate power structures that have been built through excessive accumulation so that not only a few individuals shall control a vast magnitude of resources as is the case now .. so long as we maintain free enterprise one cannot deny that some will accumulate more than others .. " (pp. 29-30)

Go read the whole analysis at Prestopundit it is truely eye-opening.

Pigs Fly And Paul Krugman Gets Something Right

Wow, even the uber-liberal Krugman gets the pipe dream that is ethanol and the folly of food to fuel, writing in today's NYT.

Where the effects of bad policy are clearest, however, is in the rise of demon ethanol and other biofuels.

The subsidized conversion of crops into fuel was supposed to promote energy independence and help limit global warming. But this promise was, as Time magazine bluntly put it, a “scam.”

This is especially true of corn ethanol: even on optimistic estimates, producing a gallon of ethanol from corn uses most of the energy the gallon contains. But it turns out that even seemingly “good” biofuel policies, like Brazil’s use of ethanol from sugar cane, accelerate the pace of climate change by promoting deforestation.

And meanwhile, land used to grow biofuel feedstock is land not available to grow food, so subsidies to biofuels are a major factor in the food crisis. You might put it this way: people are starving in Africa so that American politicians can court votes in farm states.

Christian Science Monitor also looks at rising food costs and the peril bio-fuels cause.
And don't miss this great article in Financial Times by Nigel Lawson on Europe's over reaching on global warming legislation and the enormous costs for relatively negligable returns.

Should Free Countries Boycott The Beijing Olympics?

I think we should boycott the opening ceremonies but allow the athletes to compete. Heck the only event the Chinese are able to compete in is gymnastics so lets clean their clock on the field of fair play and leave their human rights abuses on display by not showing for the pomp and glory of the opening ceremony. That would be a huge international embarressment to the communist regime over its treatment of Tibet.

Obama: The Ultimate Fraud

Gorebots In Action

I posted this video some time ago to highlight the idiocy in the green movement about real science.

Air Force Veteran Sentenced For Desecrating Flag

It wasn't the Stars and Stripes that gets desecrated regularly by moonbats here and abroad but the Mexican flag that was flying illegaly at the University of New Mexico. Peter Lynch took the flag that was flying solo down and tore it up after complaints to the UNM staff and Veterans Affairs office didn't get the job done. Gateway Pundit has further details and links. I can see vandalizing private property as the flag was not his but sentenced for flag desecration when La Raza who the flag belonged to is a Mexican nationalist group that advocates for open borders.

Al Gore Set To Launch $300,000,000 Propaganda Campaign Supporting A Myth

Ole hot air himself Al Gore is set to spend a chunk of change in an effort to force feed his disproven baloney to us about global warming once again. Heck he even compared us sceptics or deniers, I like to say realists, to those that believe the moonlandings didn't happen and the flatearthers of centuries past. Here's news for you Al, I am not in that category, I actually paid attention in science classes and did very well plus my uncle worked for NASA in Huntsville at the time of their Apollo program. I am not a sceptic because I am stupid and ill-informed I am a realist because I am curious as an avid outdoorsman and believe we should protect the environment in a responsible way so I do my own research and its not hard to find with that wonderful internet thingy you helped invent. I also know a bit about the green community as a former member of the Sierra Club, and contributer to the Nature Conservancy and World Wildlife Fund. I personally lead a very green lifestyle, I recycle, compost and add very very little actual garbage, and do everything a good greenie should do because I choose to.
I have no problem with being clean and green till the proposed solutions cause major problems with the economy, the environment and even the food supply and are based on scaremongering lies. Heck even the MSM is starting to notice the pipe dream of biofuels as food prices jumped up and even to start noting some actual scientists that are sceptics. Here's some news for you ethanol heads, it's a carbon based fuel just like gasoline, with the exception of elementals, hydro-carbons make all of life on earth and are the basic building blocks of energy and life.
I also paid enough attention to learn that the oceans, the sun, and various other gravitational related forces cause weather patterns, ie climate changes. I have learned lots about ocean currents, tectonic movement, sun spots, variations in orbit by the moon and heating and cooling cycles since the earth was formed. It is because of my knowledge that I am a sceptic of your claims Mr Gore and I would suggest it is your sycophants that are ignorant and close-minded. Here's the deal Al, if even this third rate blogger and lowly blue collar contractor can see through your scam, anybody can and their eyes are open, so your boondoggle has a major problem.
Al that $300,000,000 would do alot to help our National Parks if you really want to help the environment.

Lefty Lawyers To Join ACLU In Defense Of Terrorists

This is of course those "high value" terrorists currently be held a Gitmo so guess who is teaming up with the ACLU, Janet Reno, Bill Clinton's AG, that's right she of Waco and Elian Gonzales fame. The ACLU wants to get the terrorists out of the Military Tribunal and into civilian courts where the terrorists are free to lie for propaganda purposes and the press can cover them. Michelle has more as usual as one of the best investigative journalists there is, I am glad she's on our side.

Backed by a slate of prominent legal figures, including former Attorney General Janet Reno and former Federal Bureau of Investigation Director William Webster, the ACLU has assembled a team of top civilian attorneys to supplement the military defense counsel assigned to represent Guantanamo’s “high-value detainees.” …

The effort significantly adds to the legal forces that over the past seven years have challenged the administration’s plan to run an offshore court that provides defendants fewer rights than civilian trials or courts-martial. The addition of the ACLU in particular, with its large financial resources, is a major shot in the arm for those who oppose the tribunal system.

Wasn't Ramsey Clark also Bill Clinton's AG at one point, he who joined Saddam'a defense team? It is pretty clear at this point which side the Democrats and their base are on and it ain't America's. Can I question their patriotism now?
Update: Welcome to the Barnyard visitors from Stop the ACLU.
Update 2: Ditto to visitors from Right Wing News.

More On Muslims Leaving Islam

I linked to an article by Chuck Colson the other day on the huge numbers converting to Christianity from islam. Andrew Walden also has a piece on this and takes a deeper look at the hows and whys of this interesting news in light of the news that muslims had passed the number of Catholics. Catholics are but one sect of Christianity as whole though so the Christian body is much larger than the islamic umma.

Pope Benedict’s choice to publicly baptize the most prominent Muslim in Italy, Egyptian-born Magdi Allam, highlights a quiet worldwide exodus from Islam. In recent years, millions have moved on. With this high-profile action, Pope Benedict demonstratively blesses this massive conversion from the highest levels of the Church.

Interviewed by al-Jazeera in 2006, Ahmad al-Qataani, leader of the Companions Lighthouse for the Science of Islamic Law in Libya, explains the decline:

Islam used to represent … Africa’s main religion and there were 30 African languages that used to be written in Arabic script. The number of Muslims in Africa has diminished to 316 million, half of whom are Arabs in North Africa. So in the section of Africa that we are talking about, the non-Arab section, the number of Muslims does not exceed 150 million people. When we realize that the entire population of Africa is one billion people, we see that the number of Muslims has diminished greatly from what it was in the beginning of the last century.

On the other hand, the number of Catholics has increased from one million in 1902 to 329 million 882 thousand (329,882,000). Let us round off that number to 330 million in the year 2000.

As to how that happened, well there are now 1.5 million churches whose congregations account for 46 million people. In every hour, 667 Muslims convert to Christianity. Everyday, 16,000 Muslims convert to Christianity. Every year, 6 million Muslims convert to Christianity. These numbers are very large indeed.

Absolut-ly Not

Michelle has a real nose for this sort of thing, it stinks and she points it out.

I don't drink hard liquor but very rarely and Absolut vodka on the rocks with a twist of lime was one of those rare pleasures but never again, there are other good vodkas out there. That is a map of aztlan as many mexican nationalists groups like to call it, groups like La Raza, MEcHA and other open borders groups. Michelle has contact info for Absolut's American office, be polite just inform them of your displeasure.

Totally Awesome

Via Allahpundit and the Dangerroom is this mockup of laser missile defense technology, we are really close to making this reality if we aren't there already.

May I remind all that Obama wants to cut funding for this kind of R&D and other missile defense technology. I posted this video a while back but here is a refresher. We don't need defense if we surrender to our enemies is the way he thinks.

NATO just bitch-slapped him though by approving our help in setting a missile defense system in Europe. Captain Ed has more. Plus Obama has the endorsments of the original winter soldier and traitor, John Kerry and now Hanoi Jane Fonda. I really wonder what McCain thinks of her cavorting around Hanoi while he was staying nearby in a POW camp.

California Spring

I figured it is time for some Spring time color just for the sake of it.

Via Allahpundit is this stupid ad from Hillary, aack.

Johnny Mac answers, heh this is going to be fun. He has this slick comeback up in under eight hours.

Dispicable

Michelle has been following this story from the begining about Planned Parenthood , their billion dollar empire of death and a prolife life group's sting operation on them. What they found is not really surprising since their founder was a Margeret Sanger, a racist believer in eugenics, basically like those nuts in Germany. This a very good interactive site on the history of eugenics and so called "Useless Eaters" in the US, Germany and other places, it is very chilling, done by Regent Uni. Check out the video below and if you are interested go over to Michelle's for much more.

Where does the Barnyard stand on this? Eudenics is wrong/evil no matter how it is portrayed. I am pro-life but I believe Roe is bad law and should be overturned on those merits not emotional/religious ones. I don't believe abortion should be illegal but should only happen after extensive counseling not as an outpatient procedure.
As far as teen and sex-ed goes I am in the camp that thinks the more they know about the implications of indiscriminate sex the better, abstinance is the best but if they are going to do it they should know how and why to protect themselves. I guess this is part of my libertarian streak, I agree with Rachel Lucas on this one as she lays it out pretty darn realistically. Heck, I was that age during the heavy metal era and ran around with a couple bands so I by no means can claim innocence or a moral high ground. I can say I have heard a friend screaming while trying to urinate because of an STD, I can say I lost a neighbor and good friend to AIDS so I know its reality.

Pork Report

Now I personally love pork but the kind you eat not the kind Congress loves , anyway Citizens Against Gov't Waste has their annual pork barrel spending report out. It is disappointing that GOP Sen Thad Cochran was the overall fattest pig at the trough, but the interesting part is the POTUS candidates of course. Both Barack and Hillary talk about fiscal responsibility while proposing untold billions in new programs but both did well in getting their share from the trough. Hillary had the most, 281 at a $296 mil price tag, Barack had 53 for $97 mil and Sen McCain has never requested one.
Matt Lewis has more and Michelle stays on her tear about the housing bailout.

Digging Deeper

From what I am seeing around the blogosphere and MSM the Democrats have dug themselves a very deep hole and jumped in with their shovels dug even deeper and forgot to bring a ladder along to get out. We all know Hillary has so many skeletons in her closet that she will self implode as she piles lie upon lie in order to gain power. Now Barack is being vetted and it appears that no matter how hard he tried to hide that closet it has finally been found and reveals that he is nothing but a far left marxist with almost as many skeletons as Madame Hillary.

McCain's Latest Ads

I for one thinks John's Bio-Tour is a very good idea and introduces him to many Americans for the first time in a markedly sharp contrast to the two Democrats with all their empty rhetoric, lying and slimy associates combined with their anti-American base. He doesn't mention them but the implications are clear.
