Well, besides being the cheif benefactor of sveral far left hate sites like MoveOn, Center for American Progress and Media Matters which are all part of the Clinton Machine, he was also a Nazi sympathizer and helped plunder the Jews of Hungary while being of Jewish descent. To top it off he broke the Bank of England and ruined the currency and economy of Malaysia in pursuit of his billions with no remorse, the master manipulater with one goal; destroy all those that disagree with him by any means necassary. Moveon and M-M are slander squads funded by György Schwartz, later known as György Soros (with two sh-sounds), and later George Soros, US citizen. In his autobiograpy, modestly entitled Soros on Soros, he described how as a teenager he helped to cart off the stolen possessions of Hungarian Jewish men, women and children after they were rounded up and transported to death camps. He claims it never bothered him a bit, and still doesn't bother him today. He has no personal regrets about his actions. Somebody would have done it.
Normal people are haunted by harsh self-criticism after such morally toxic situations, even if they were helpless at the time. But Mr. Soros is blessedly free from any qualms, as he tells us.

Don't miss this post by Ray Robison in The American Thinker on the splintering of Al Qaeda and the Taliban, very interesting.
It is likely that the Asian al Qaeda fighters who turned against the central al Qaeda Arab leaders as referenced in this study were also under the Maulana's control. I also noted in an earlier article on the jihad fracture that the Maulana had helped the Libyan government to capture some al Qaeda affiliated Libyan oppositional terrorists (he helped Libya because Qadaffi was also a sponsor of the Maulana along with the Saddam regime). As noted in Quiet Triumph, Rahman who strongly supported al Qaeda was recently placed on an al Qaeda hit list. It is clear that Asian al Qaeda affiliates influenced by the Maulana have angered the Arab al Qaeda leaders; thus he is now an al Qaeda enemy.
This is important because it shows not only a splitting of al Qaeda itself but a split with a large part of the Taliban. As the man who is known as the father of the Taliban, the Maulana still holds great sway over them. The Taliban is essentially just the militant, Afghanistan based extension of the Pakistani jihad groups he controls. As he goes, most of the Taliban will go with him.

Well there is actually alot they are not telling us but this about a retired General's remarks, LG Ricardo Sanchez the man that was in charge in Iraq for a time. The media are only reporting his negative remarks about the way the war was being fought not his eviscerating of the presscorps and their biased distorted coverage of the war. Mike Yon has the full speech to the press corps. Read it for yourself and see just who gets skewered.
As I understand it, your measure of worth is how many front page stories you have written and unfortunately some of you will compromise your integrity and display questionable ethics as you seek to keep America informed. This is much like the intelligence analysts whose effectiveness was measured by the number of intelligence reports he produced. For some, it seems that as long as you get a front page story there is little or no regard for the “collateral damage” you will cause.
Personal reputations have no value and you report with total impunity and are rarely held accountable for unethical conduct. Given the near instantaneous ability to report actions on the ground, the responsibility to accurately and truthfully report takes on an unprecedented importance. The speculative and often uninformed initial reporting that characterizes our media appears to be rapidly becoming the standard of the industry.

Noted war historian Victor Davis Hanson just returned from a trip to Iraq and a whirlwind tour and has a round up posted today in NRO and the final of a three part series at Pajamas Media and is as honest an assesment as you could want. The corner has been turned and the long slow process of rebuilding flush with oil money from the record prices. Prof. Hanson's family are lifelong farmers here in Ca.'s central valley and so he recognizes the also great agricultural richness of Iraq, its not all desert folks, more like California with a vast mix of ecosystems.
Mike Yon has a new dispatch up and he must be bored because most of it old history but good reading just the same, except for the great news about running into a soldier buddy that had gotten shotup in a fire fight Mike witnessed and wrote about.
Michael Totten's Mid-East Journal writes up the best police force in Iraq, in formerly lawless Ramadi and has video on patrol in Ramadi.

The Republican Study Committee has drafted a new proposal to eliminate the AMT and offer a voluntary simplified flat tax you can read some of the details at John Campbell's, Green Eye Shades, and the RSC's blog, all my conservative blogger friends should add both of these blogs to your roll and if you don't blog at least add them to your favorites.
The Taxpayer Choice Act will fully and permanently repeal the current AMT
Taxpayers can choose to file their taxes under the current system or pay a new alternative simplified tax with two rates and no deductions
There is a 10% rate for joint incomes below $100,000 and a 25% marginal rate for joint incomes above $100,000
This bill will make permanent the 2001 and 2003 tax reductions and lower rates on capital gains and dividends.

American-Israeli relations expert Yoram Ettinger, a former Congressional liaison in Israel's Washington embassy, says the Palestinian Authority has always taken a pro-terror slant - in opposition to U.S. policy and interests.
In the latest edition of his "From the Jerusalem Cloakroom" newsletter, Ettinger continues what sometimes appears to be a one-man crusade against the creation of a Palestinian state. His latest theme is that the PA openly supports Moslem terrorism and incitement, in opposition to US policy and interests.
The newsletter has dealt with the issue of a Palestinian state of late, in anticipation of the Middle East conference scheduled for next month outside Washington at which U.S. President Bush hopes to make such a state a reality.
Ettinger directly and sharply targets Palestinian Authority/Fatah chairman Mahmoud Abbas, known in terrorist circles as Abu Mazen, and the entity he governs. "Abu Mazen's PA/PLO," Ettinger writes, "has been a systematic ally of Bin-Laden, Saddam [Hussein], Iran, North Korea, China and Russia. It has been a deadly threat to the Hashemites [of Jordan] and moderate Gulf regimes."
Furthermore, Ettinger charges, the PA has been "a role-model of inter-Arab treachery, hate-education, terrorism, homicide and car bombing, hijacking and murder of diplomats (e.g., murdered US ambassadors in Sudan), human rights violation, oppression of Christian Arabs and corruption. PLO mentors were allies of the Nazis and of the ruthless communist regimes in Moscow and Eastern Europe."
Ettinger, who still serves intermittently as an Israeli government consultant, cites cartoons recently published in the PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida that honor the perpetrator of 9/11, Osama Bin-Laden, even as the US continues to mourn the nearly 3,000 victims of those attacks. The cartoons "echo sermons and text books in Abu Mazen’s controlled mosques and schools," Ettinger notes.
Palestinian terrorists fought US soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan in the past, Ettinger said, and if they are granted a state, will simply provide an east Mediterranean platform to US enemies and will add yet another anti-US vote at the United Nations.
This comes as Al-Hayat al-Jadida, the daily newspaper for the "moderate" PA and Fatah, published a picture of a Muslim praying for the death of American soldiers. The Muslim requests that(according to the captions):
"Allah, scatter them!!"
“And turn their wives into widows!!"
“And turn their children into orphans!!"
“And give us victory over them!!"
This is a special prayer for Laylat al-Qadr, the 27th night of Ramadan, literally the Night of Decree, Muslims recite a large number of prayers. New Palestinian textbooks refer to terrorists in Iraq as "brave resistance soldiers". Actually, Saddam Hussein, yimach shemo, was one of the chief allies of the PA and gave thousands of dollars to the families of suicide bombers.
The US, in response to Palestinian moderation, is planning another peace (of the grave) summit between Israel and the PA next month. These are the same Palestinians who danced on 9/11 and gave candy out in the streets. These are the same Palestinians to whom Olmert wants to give over half of Jerusalem (G-d forbid), because we all know Islam's great record on protecting the holy sites of other religions (Bamiyan Buddhas, Kever Yosef, the Temple Mount...)

As AP at Hot Air put it not much substance but since I don't get Fox News It is nice to see Bill throw a few verbal grenades at Fox, Bill O is one of the very few with the backbone to slam a former President of a neighbor country.
Also Bryan catches the moonbats in another lie and smear campaign, this time against the Yound Americans Foundation a conservative student group at George Washington Univ. I bet our first President just rolled over in his grave.

All in all they were all on the same page on spending and taxes and came across fairly knowledgable on economic issues. I thought Mitt won, but I am biased, and was in his element, Rudy was also strong with the sparks between the two, while friendly, being the high point of the debate. Fred did not fall on his face and was solid but did not shine and needs to lose the perpetual frown, he comes across as dull and gloomy though good with the dry one liners. I do not foresee a poll bump for him coming from his performance. As much as I like Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo it is time for them to throw in the towel with Sam Brownback and drop out. Ron Paul, the angry crank, has his supporters and has raised some money but I have to wonder how many of them are registered GOP primary voters. I like Mike Huckabee alot as well but he had ethics and tax problems in Arkansas and is somewhat a nannystater, he didn't shine today like he has in other debates. McCain seemed far more subdued and less punchy than usual and got in some good lines but he does best when he sticks to his straight talk about spending. It is increasingly obvious that this is a Rudy and Mitt race with Fred shuffling aimlessly around and notably missing from the campaign trail.
Update: More blogger coverage, Michelle took a nap but I think she likes Mitt since he sat down for an interview with her.

Some days work and earning money out weigh blogging, today was one of them. Launching a new business is a gut wrenching experience on a shoestring budget and now I know what it is like to have one's stomach tied in knots. I am not complaining as it is just another challenge to overcome, something that gives me life. I like to win and the better the challenge the harder I fight for victory.
So I an going to watch some football and vege out today.
