Happy Birthday US Marine Corps

To our best and bravest, Salute and Semper Fidelis, not to take away from the rest of our Patriot Armed Forces but me Pops was a former Marine and I was raised with the manual albeit Korean War era under my pillow.

A couple former Marines installed my new woodburning stove today and what a wonderful appeal it brought to the Barn when I fired it up. Hmm, two things that that stir a contemplative mind are fire and moving water, motion with connection but no meaning, beneficial and destructive.

When taken in that light I am grateful to still have two viable political parties, it means constructive ideas will prevail though more slowly than under a focused conservative agenda as a result the GOP and the DNC both became more conservative not less. Nancy Pelosi now gets the thankless job of herding a bunch of cats in a very diverse conglomeration of a party, welcome to recent GOP woes.

The one thing that will change is that Old Media reporting on the war will get more positive if it helps Hillary and the DNC as "solving the problems". Look for more personal interest stories on schools, healthcare and the like as improving rapidly in the near future. The Old Media doesn't want us to lose, they just want the Democrats to take credit for winning a Republican fiasco and will use the power of the press to do that, fine just so we win.

Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Rudy Giulianni seem to have benefitted the most from the Republican meltdown among conservatives and possibly Michael Steele at RNCC.

Mike Pence and John Shadegg should easily get whip and leadership f the House Minority. Write your Congressman and let them know!
