Tuesday Must Read
Dennis Prager, one of my favorite opiners and and radio talkers, has written a great article on "World Opinion" and what it really means. I don't give it any more thought than I would a hair on a rat's ass, Dennis just says it much better with his famed clarity of thinking.
--------
If you are ever morally confused about a major world issue, here is a rule that is almost never violated: Whenever you hear that "world opinion" holds a view, assume it is morally wrong.
And here is a related rule if your religious or national or ethnic group ever suffers horrific persecution: "World opinion" will never do a thing for you. Never.
"World opinion" has little or nothing to say about the world's greatest evils and regularly condemns those who fight evil.

Supporters of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and his Fatah Movement hold a poster of Abbas during a rally in support of his call for a referendum in the main square of the West Bank town of Ramallah, Monday, June 5, 2006. Just hours before a deadline, Abbas on Monday said he will not back down from an ultimatum to the Islamic Hamas group to accept a plan implicitly recognizing Israel. Abbas has given Hamas until Tuesday to accept the proposal, which calls for a Palestinian state alongside Israel. Accepting the proposal would require Hamas, which is sworn to Israel's destruction, to implicitly recognize the existence of the Jewish state.

I would even recomend it to my liberal friends, maybe Dennis can help bring them some clarity as well?

David Limbaugh also has a good one on Bolton vs. Kerry during the confirmation hearings to send Bolton back to the UN.. Thank God that man is not our president! I joined the GOP to help assure that did not happen. JB takes JK apart, with devestating counterpunches, Mr. Nuance reduced to rubble by a lowly mustached guy with an attitude, sweet. JB has done an outstanding job considering what he has to work with, the most corrupt institution on earth, the UN.
-------
Perhaps the best reason to support John Bolton's confirmation as our nation's United Nations ambassador is that his approach to foreign policy is radically different from John Kerry's, as illustrated by their exchange during Bolton's confirmation hearings. It is a shame anyone had to miss this delicious slap-down.
Bolton said that for the United Nations to be effective on Iran, North Korea and Lebanon, the 15 members of the Security Council (and particularly the "PERM 5,") would have to reach policy agreements concerning those countries.
-------
When will we kick this group of megalomaniacs off our soil? I am no fan of the UN, move them the "The Hague" since that is where they get their law. They are not deserving of our soil, cut their taxpayer funded dues and remove them from our shores and start a League of Democratic Nations. Then give the rest our collective middle finger and "moon" ie. "Braveheart". Republican Representative Democracy combined with free market capitalism and natural rights can only lead to a blossoming country. The larger the footprint of government, the more natural rights are trampled upon and thus the death of inspiration and creativity, the basis of the free market. of course tempered by conservatism.

Just a side thought, we didn't lose a war in Vietnam, we retreated from a battle in the Cold war, a massive, costly battle, WWIII, we won the war. To disagree with Newt a bit , this is WWIV. We won the first three and we must win this one as well!

This That and Froghair has her conservative humor up and running, always a good laugh.
