Mitt Romney is Making Waves

John Fund is now on Mitt's trail and reports back with optimism from three recent Romney appearances. If we can pull John onto the wagon that is some valuable cargo.
-------

Right now John McCain is the front-runner for the 2008 GOP presidential nomination. (Poppycock. LOL The people who vote in primaries are right wing supervoters who view McCain as a RINO. He has no chance. WRite those words down.--Lisa) But everyone expects that a single major competitor will emerge to challenge him from the right. The question hung in the air of this past weekend's Family Research Council summit in Washington: Who will that candidate be for the GOP's powerful social conservative base? (Introsucing the answer.........Lisa)

FRC officials says they invited Mr. McCain to speak, but he declined. But another potential candidate benefited greatly from showing up. Surprisingly, it was Massachusetts' Gov. Mitt Romney, a Mormon with a Harvard M.B.A (and JD--Lisa) who governs the nation's most liberal state (and does so exceedingly well). The 1,800 delegates applauded him frequently during his Friday speech and gave him a standing ovation afterward. Mr. Romney detailed his efforts to block court-imposed same-sex marriage in the Bay State and noted that the liberal Legislature has failed to place a citizen-initiated referendum on the ballot. He excoriated liberals for supporting democracy only when they think that the outcome is a foregone conclusion that favors their views. He certainly picked up fans at the summit. "I believe Mitt Romney may be the only hope social conservatives have in 2008," says Maggie Gallagher, author of a book defending traditional marriage. (Yup. But I said this at least 2 and a half years ago--He's it. --Lisa.)

His Mormon faith as I have said all along is a non-issue except for the left as a loose wrench to throw at him from time to time, it won't come from the right but by seminar liberals posing as conservatives on air and in print. The first clue, they start with "I am a conservative but", I can spot a lefty a mile away, why, I used to be one. Talking points with no basis in history or facts is clue number two. The best part is they run when you ask for more information to back up their point. That is clue number three that you are dealing with a brainwashed lemming unable to think for themself or allow fact to interfere in their madness. Their god Bill Clinton just demonstrated that by pitching a hissy fit when asked a tough question he was unprepared to answer truthfully. It is all a conspiracy against the left, yep, it is called disgusted voters.

They may be pissed at the GOP led congress but their disgust runs much deeper for the DNC than the press will tell you. We don't want gay marriage, we don't want illegal immigration , we don't like the breakdown of family, we don't like socialism and gov't control, we don't like income taxes and the IRS. We want to raise our families in the country our founders fought for and put down in writing in our Declaration of Independance and later in the Constitution and that millions of Americans have died to preserve. We want government to pave roads and build levees and national security not provide healthcare, welfare, college tuition, art, international aid(how much love has our billions bought?), build rainforests indoors, and mollycoddle terrorists.

There are three forces at work, euro-socialism, american-conservatism and islamo-fascism. My take is the islamics want to kill us or convert us, the euro's, umm, what euros, and well, America is and will be for a long time to come. I believe our armed forces should fly the Navy Jack under the Stars and Stripes. For those that don't know the Navy Jack featured a coiled rattlesnake with the words "Don't Tread On Me" , which is the what the world needs to remember about the American people. We have fought six wars on our territory and many abroad and won them all militarily though we lost one in the court of public opinion. In light of all this I just can't see the Dems taking Congress as long as Republicans and center-right independants come to the polls. The prospect of a Speaker Pelosi will only move those informed, we need to let the masses know why.
We can see the whites of their eyes, time to mount up and attack loonbat ideas like never before, now is not the time for conservatives to play hide and seek, now is the time for action.

Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney are electrifying crowds wherever they travel and that is my '08 ticket prediction in no order. They are the only two talking ideas and solutions among all hopefuls, and I am sure glad that both, especially Newt with his Winning The Future campaign, are very active for the GOP this election season. Mark Warner and possibly Hillary are the only ones in the DNC that could possibly hold a candle in debate with either Mitt or Newt, though they would leave with wax burns.
