Got A Fishing Pole

Part of "dynamo"pond,it powered the very first hydro-electric dam to run the stamp mills in Bodie 13 miles away,a town straight out of a Clint Eastwood western. It is state historic site and ghost town now and very neat place to visit and let the imagination run wild.Located in the high desert they faced summertime temps pushing 120 and wintertimes as cold as -30 and always windy, not a hospitable place to live and had a reputation for lawlessness, opium dens and bordellos. High Plains Drifter was filmed in this area just a few miles south near Mono Lake.I like to watch old westerns and try to pick out where they were filmed, with its proximity to Hollywood the eastern sierra was readily used and the sierra as a whole has provided backdrop for many movies. It is abundantly easy to see why,I go back in time myself and my truck becomes a horse and pack-mule,in my mind atleast,LOL.
