Probably April,this lake is at about 9,000 ft. My buddy brought me here camping on a visit and I moved from Al six weeks later.The cabin is about a four hour drive from here and gorgeous after the first 20 minutes till you get there.I have lived in Ca for 8 yrs and know the backroads as well as some seasoned natives and better than most locals,LOL.I get bored I get in my truck and go find something and I ain't afraid to park it and hike,there is so much beauty everywhere.I hear the view from the top of Mt.Washinton is stunning,carry a windbreaker and sweater and have a ball!
Mary,There are many you can drive to,the sheep picture is taken from the road,a dirt one but still a road.
Kay,no I wasn't,I have been busy at work when I get most of my local news.I may have to go,camera in hand and play journalist.I can take short video with my camera and have the monsterchip in it. I will call my morning drivetime local talker as well
