Feed The Children
1-888-58child, a few bucks gets a lot of needed stuff, online links are available at all the blogs on my sidebar. This whole event has the goat in a tailspin,I have to agree with the loony left on this. The poor were hit the hardest and will suffer the most. My disagreement comes with our ability to cope with disaster and move on stronger and better,we all remember Steve Austin the 6 mil man. Well that is a bare minimal view of our ability to recover, the recovery will spur the economy as jobs are readily available. Rebuilding your city is a noble job as well, especially New Orleans, restoring the historical beauty will take alot of time and it will be done better than before. I know the Big Easy fairly well, many a grand evening with a good cigar and smokey jazz. I see all the blighted neighborhoods being cleaned up and residents coming home to a new neighborhood as all the junk and garbage will be removed.
I think the abandoned military bases in the region with barracks and facilities intact need to be opened up for the refugees, we have a long term problem, a year or more for many, sports stadiums is not the answer. This is a unique point in our history with about a million homeless refugees, families will absorb some and to me this seems the best alternative. Our mil bases are set up to administer to thousands so would not this seem logical?
