I apologize for being off topic here with my comment, but thought you should read this since you claim to be such a staunch environmentalist. It never made sense to me that anyone could back shrub and be one, seeing as he's done more to harm the earth than anyone in recent history, but I guess you have your reasons. Here are the reasons I am not behind bushco or Ahnoldco:

Alternet is about as credible a news source as Dan Rather. The environment for the most part, can take care of itself. Ozone holes are created and repaired all the time. If Mother Nature contributes significantly to green house gasses, how can she be so environmentally unfriendly? How can you libs worship Mother Nature, when she herself pollutes? Mother Nature pollutes far more every year than all SUV drivers combined.
You libs need a 'tune-up'. More people have been killed by Mother Nature, than from men.
Another thing I despise about you libs: You protest animal testing. Without it most of us wouldn't have been born, and the majority of the rest would have died from Polio and other illnesses. Just as well more animals are alive and well because of 'animal testing'.
Actually when you look beyond the gloss of the enviromental movement at the facts, it does not add up. Bush actually approved much higher standards than the enviros were calling for.Helen,something many city liberals fail to understand is that us country boys love nature just as much as they do and realize we won't have anything to hunt or fish for that is good to eat if we don't protect our enviroment.I have filled my truck and my other fishing buddies trucks up with tons of garbage and hauled it out. My backback comes back heavier not lighter after a treks because I am carrying others garbage as well as my own. I feel some on the left want to take away access to the very things us country folk love and protect.Love of the environment is not a politically partisan issue how we approach it is, a part of the reason I am a conservative and a member of the GOP.
