Monday Meander

For Trader Rick, my buddy's team Volcano, Shasta and Lassen.

Sheep and wine grapes in California's Shenandoah valley, zinfadel country
Oh well, like the TV drill the panoramic view is black boxed, didn't want to take the time to clip the wings.

Where do you go for your first dose of daily news? I use MSNBC as my MSN homepage and Salem Radio/Townhall as my main source and expand from there as the web allows.

What is your favorite blog?My favorite blog is Townhall's run by Hugh Hewitt and Dean Barnett, The Corner is a close second from NRO.

Who is the best war/mil blogger? Best war blogger is Mike Yon , without a question. Best Milblogger is tough, OpFor, Black Five and Mudville Gazzette are tied.

Best talk radio host? I like Hugh the best, he's more fun than Rush, I like Rush and agree with him but he gets stale real quick in my mind.

How often do you read the local daily paper or watch the network news? I love newspapers, I wish the producers would wake up and produce clean news. I watch little TV.

Why am I a conservative? I believe in America and it's folks and their ability to acheive success without the government getting in the way. I believe in Constitutional Federalism and our founding rights and I believe these Rights need to be protected. I hate socialism and will fight every malignent fibre of its being.

Who do you support for POTUS and why? I am a Romneyite because he is the most qualified candidate put forth by either party in decades, this is the man to put America on the right path in the new century before us. We need to get behind Mitt Romney and push hard for his election as POTUS.

A few questions, answer as you will a short meme for friends of the Barnyard, Cap'n Tug, Right is Right, Dragon Lady, Pearls Before Swine, a Big White Hat ,Freedom Eden, Bottom Line Up Front , Trader Rick, Violetrix and Hillbilly Politics among many others.

My slow dial-up won't open the image of Team Volcano this morning--I'll be back later...

Good morning, Goat. I appreciate you thinking of me in this tag, but I no longer participate in them. Sorry. I used to do them but most of my readers don't enjoy reading them and either told me so or simply didn't comment. Neither do they like being tagged. :(

I enjoy reading them though, and I enjoyed reading this one. I like Rush, but like you, find that after awhile he gets on my nerves, usually when he takes a call and doesn't let the caller speak more than once. I know how long people have to try in order to get through, and how long they have to wait once they get through. It must be annoying to go to all that trouble and only be able to say: "Mega Ditto's, Rush! Blah, blah, blah, blah blah" and then the caller's done. I'm always sitting there thinking, "will you let the poor guy/gal talk!" It's hardly ever a conversation.

Rick, I hope you get a glimpse of a couple beautiful huskies, awesome dogs! They greet me as part of the pack, I had to leave my husky,Max, with my sister when I moved to Cal., best for him, he had a big yard and a familiar family. Huskies and their bigger kin, malemutes, are my favorite dogs, followed by the shepherds and gun dogs.Heck I want all three and the space for them, working on it,LOL.

Gayle, it is not at all my normal practce to do this. I have gained many new friends of the Barnyard recently and hoped to spark some healthy conversation among some new and old friends with an introduction of sorts and as way to give them a bump as well. Thanks for the kindly advice, it will be taken to heart and double thanks for the link!

That big black and white boy is magnificent! And the little grey girl is cute! All my huskies are old now, retired in their twilight years...I think my best one was a husky-malamute mix--the malamute in him calmed him down and he would behave like a regular dog instead of a wild animal--I could walk him off leash on the trails when hiking, to the amazement of my fellow sled dog club members! He was a shelter rescue. I miss him terribly...

They are great dogs but to be a husky owner takes becoming the alpha member of the pack, so to speak. It takes a special touch to train them for sure being a half step from the wolf as they are. They are by no means a typical domestic breed, they want to run, hunt and play almost constantly, with very definate personalities. Those two are not let off the leash or they take off like a bolt and come back on their time not yours. The male has a lightening bolt down the back of his neck and the female has the unreal ice-blue eyes of huskies, same parents, a litter apart. He wants to get a sled and hook them up, any resources you can direct him to.
