Sunday Morning Must Read: Updated

Both are from Powerline the first is on the latest screwup by SeeBS' Sixty Minutes story on the Rove conspiracy to bring down former Al. Gov. Don Siegleman, a Democrat convicted in a bribery scandle with Richard Scrushy and is serving time with a mop in federal prison. John has the best breakdown of the whole sordid affair that I have seen. I have seen a couple others and when I find them again I will update below. One thing they all leave out is that Scrushy as head of HealthSouth was already under investigation for a range of ethics issues when he got tangled up with Siegleman and the Lottery Commission. My sister works for HealthSouth and my mother worked for competitor hospital in Birmingham and they followed it closely.
Update: Gateway Pundit has more here, here and here

The other is on what Israel is facing in Gaza and Lebanon as rockets and mortars continue to rain on Sderot and now Ashkelon with larger Iranian made rockets launched from densely populated areas with the sole purpose that civilians will be killed in an Israeli reprisal. This will then be turned into propaganda to stir up more hate and fed to the MSM never mentioning that since having turned over Gaza to them a few years ago the palestinians have destroyed their entire society and economy and instead. The MSM will not mention that Gaza has just been a launching base for thousands of rockets that are aimed at innocent civilians in Israel, no they will blame Israel for defending itself. Scott has a must read looking at the bigger picture and Iran's strategy and role in all this and how if Iran can goad Israel into a war with its proxies in the various terror groups, Hamas, Hezbollah, etal, it would take the world's eyes off them and their quest for a nuclear bomb.
Update: Its on, via the Long War Journal is this article from Haaretz reporting that the IDF has rolled into Northern Gaza to stop the barrage of rocket attacks, good its about time.
