Jihad Watch

Don't miss Robert Spencer's latest at Human Events nor his great blog , Jihad Watch . I am so glad I have the new media to help get the word out that ours self constipated snobs in the MSM are unwilling to report. Goat's hat's off too all of us in the new media, the american citizen now connected like never before. Yes, these raging liberals are luring the country folk out of the hills and dales and we are far from stupid or uninformed, just unengaged. The more the liberal elite tries to remove our God, our guns, and force faggots down our throat the harder we will push back. America has the strongest backbone in the world built by these same folks and the socialists keep inflicting diseases that weaken that strength, GOP spending doesn't help the cause. These socialist softies may find more fight on their hands than they bargained for. Remember we drive 4x4s for a reason, a need to drive through the muck, literally and figuratively, time to shift into 4x-hi and air down the swampers a bit, the mud is starting to get thicker. We are locking hubs, ie:Tom Delay, ain't worried, he drives a monster truck, politically speaking.

This past weekend, tens of thousands of protesters against the war in Iraq - some chanting that President Bush was a liar, a criminal and a killer - marched through the streets of Washington past the White House.
Talk about raining on their parade.
Marching 50 yards ahead of the demonstrators - holding up a sign that read "Freedom is Not Free" - was Ryan Ponder, 25, a former sergeant in the 4th Infantry Division of the U.S. Army who until last year was fighting in Iraq.
"At one point, the anti-war protesters got so upset that he was marching ahead of them - and was the first person that onlookers saw - that they stopped the whole 150,000-person march so that he would get farther ahead of them," said one onlooker, a Capitol Hill staffer who asked not to be identified.
"But he stopped, too," he added. "He truly is like the man who stood in front of the tanks in (China's) Tiananmen Square in 1989, unafraid to stare down a much more powerful force."
We reached Ponder on Monday at the Capitol Hill office of Rep. Chris Cannon, Utah Republican, where he is an intern hoping to climb the ladder.
Ponder said he was proud to have marched, calling it his "patriotic duty."
Asked whether he had any close calls with a far deadlier enemy - the Islamic insurgents in Iraq - he said: "Of course I did. That's what happens when you're fighting a war."

I see it in both parties and creeds antics and I know which party will defend this country and work to better it and as it stands right now judging by the supporters of our two party system, it ain't the DNC in charge or even threatening to be. Who turned out to help in the wake of the Twins, Katrina and Rita.? Was it those thousands in DC? No, it was the people of America and their churches that joined caravans, not to DC but to where they where needed most, our devestated gulf region, as America opens Her arms the Left cries and holds vigils. Shame One You , Cindy Sheehan and the rest of you Loonbats that could have used your energy where it is actually needed. There is much to mouth and deed, BAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!!!!!!! .
I would compare the conservative movement to a bermuda grass lawn with crab grass intrusions. How do we deal with this? We mow regurlurly to prevent seeding and then pull the remaining by the roots and anti-germination fertilizer finishes the job,parasites as socialism/communism are destroying the beauty by sapping its bounty.The most polluted spot in the world is the Soviet East German border. This anology is easily implied whether it be the GWOT or our domestic policies.

Re: The Left

Townhall's and other's writers on the right are having a heyday on the socialist/communist demonstration over the weekend. It was not an anti-war rally as much as an anti-America communist rally.
Dennis Prager expounds on some of the many reasons I joined the GOP, explaining the hysteria of the left.
Prof. Adams, another favorite has some suggestions on gun ownership, the Remington .270 or 30.06 is just as reliable and accurate as the Browning he recommends and considerably less expensive. For home protection, I would recommend the Glock 10 mill or any sawed off scattergun with buckshot. There are also some very fine and extremely accurate air rifles now made with 1200fps muzzle velocity, that's quick and silent varmint control.
Umm, my fellow fiscal conservatives may want to read this and get ahead of it. It is important what we cut. What good does paying for art that bashes America do? What good does welfare do? What good does federal regulation do? We would have plenty of money for infrastructure, roads and levees, if we weren't paying for illegals and drug addicts.

One of the things I miss about living in the south is the thunder, and we just had a little rumble here in NoCal, not enough rain to put down the dust. A couple of storm pictures from reader GT, awesome in their power and beauty. Boy do I love that rumble, yea I am strange. It is actually raining , our first since May.

It seems no example of doing good in this world can fail to inspire resentment and interference.The devastation along the Gulf Coast has inspired an outpouring of charity. People have raised funds in all kinds of ways.You've probably heard a story or two about how kids with lemonade stands have been raising money for the victims. But not everybody appreciates such initiative. In Orlando, Florida, kids started up a lemonade stand for just this cause, but without universal applause. A neighbor made a formal complaint based on his alleged uncertainty about whether the money would really be going to help Katrina victims.Did the neighbor have reason to think a scam was going on? Well, no such reason was reported. Just the same, law enforcement, feeling obliged to investigate, dropped by to talk to the family. The kids were apparently not required to shut down their stand, but they felt somewhat intimidated and closed it anyway. Happily, not before raising $350 for the cause. In a single day of operation.Who knows what was eating this neighbor -- maybe he just didn't like all the traffic pulling up to the lemonade stand. But one man's minor inconvenience is another man's life preserver.It’s not the only incident of biting the hand that feeds you -- or that feeds somebody else -- that we've heard about. Incredibly, there have been stories about thugs in the New Orleans swamp shooting at rescuers. Maybe during times like these, obstructionists of all stripes could have the grace to stifle their normal impulses . . . Just a suggestion.

Rallys and Protests

Michele Malkin and Paul of Powerline were in D.C. yesterday and have some interesting perspectives, Michele has pictures . I was correct in forcasting the Right side of the New Media is having a field day with the socialist, terror supporting, anti-semite loonbat left drivel I heard screamed at a microphone yesterday. Gateway pundit has commentary as well as more links to pictures. I only saw the tail end of the Pro-Troop rally today, chores had to be done.
On the other hand I heard speeches by "Silky Pony"John Edwards, Sen. Brownback and Gov. Mike Huckabee of Arkansas. Such a contrast in vision, Edwards, the gov't will take care of you vs. Brownback's and Huckabee's forward looking vision of the gov't getting out of the way of the people. I liked Mike Huckabee, down to earth, in touch, comfortable with his message, a possible dark horse. C-span has several things with him , the second video in this link is the one I saw.
This fellow blogger has an interesting take as well.
I may add the conservatives are busy in the Gulf or working for a living ,we can't ride around the country on the tab of millionairs unless it is moving to help those truelly in need. There is to much work to do than go whine in Washington as the left has chosen to do. Imagine if they actually put that effort into some clean up work as the Churches of America have, effort not hand-wringing blame game. How much moldy sheetrock could they remove in the time the screamed at the mike? This was not an anti-war rally persay as much as a socialist/communist platform.

Anti-War Rally

This is funny, looks like only a few thousand showed up not the hundreds of thousands they wanted much less. And they sound like complete idiots, racebaiters and otherwise morons, it does make for good comedy, this is rich. I can hear the talkers next week,especially Laura and Michael. I have heard alot of ignorance in my time and this tops it. The speakers are not able to get the crowd going, they are not speaking, oration is beyond them, they scream into a microphone their bile and sound like fools. Ok, here is the 'good reverend' Jackson, he started pretty good and then lost his line completely as he rebounded of that line the left can't cross. Even he can't get the crowd going, finding a lost child got a bigger response. Here is Cindy Jihad, she got a loud response but not more than a couple thousand voices all professional protestors that can't follow the Dead or Nirvana around anymore. I forget where I saw it but a journalist noted that he recognized many faces from other protests as he wondered around. Wow, the vulgarity. Here is an anti-Israeli asking for money. Who is this dyke? Come on now,
boy this is a tired looking crowd despite the efforts of the speakers, most look more curious than serious and almost zero ethusiasm.
Some arab wingnut, this is hard to watch, I need a cigar and a more beer to stomach it. George Galloway, soundbite city, maybe a good time to go to the store.
Some preacher is bastardizing Lincoln, his flowery speech will go over the heads of this gaggle of loonbats.
This is so nuts, they donot understand the implications of Jihadistan and the fact they would love to slit the throat of all those loons, squawking today. In the wild the loon has an eerie musically lonelly call, a bit different sound than what I hearing here today. No chants get more than a whisper, this has been very entertaining. A bunch of socialists screaming at the mike unable to arouse the crowd beyond a ripple . United for Peace and Justice is up, a dreadlocked bellower. Now some flower child wanna-be with a poem,ugh, where is Blake or Thomas?

Bayou Folks

Watching C-span and they were interviewing some folks from the bayou country that are used to flooding and riding out hurricanes, country boys riding around in their swamp trucks with chainsaws and winches helping their neighbors. One grizzled good ole-boy growled in that classic bayou brogue" Dis ain't Nawlins, dees folks can take care of demselves". Indeed, I saw houses on stilts, with some wind damage, I saw smiles on faces as neighbors were glad to find neighbors alive, healthy and helping those that needed it. A totally different atmosphere in the country away from the corruption of "Nawlins" and the social pollution of socialist welfare. These folks are largely poor and largely white and they were not crying for help. The interviews are so very different than those from NO .
I watched Blanko's presser and she is proposing a billion dollar bureaucracy to help the 'families wade through the bureaucracy to tap the taxpayer dollar some more . When pressed as to what percentage of that $Bil that would goto direct aid to those families she unwittingly admitted none of it, that it would go to training and paying workers and the necessary bureaucracy to assist the displaced families in La. in raping the taxpayer, I was roaring with laughter. Is this a blatant invitation to the openly corrupt La. politicians or what? I will see if I can find an online link, it is being replayed on C-span. I hope fellow bloggers pick up on it and get this out.

This is something to think about! Since America is typically represented by an eagle. Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages... Mike Adams as usual was able to raise my spirits and get the blood moving a bit, of course the beer helps. His column on a ski trip with a liberal is hilarious. I find it ironic in that I was into the hippy scene till a kind friend got me sponsored on a ski trip with Young Life to Co. from Al., I had been to Colorado just a couple years before and loved the mountains so I graciously accepted. Having been Reborn just a short time before it cemented my friendship with Christ and the inherrent good in man as has been shown in the response of America's many churches to our natural disasters highlighted by Katrina.

"Always being one who would rather light a candle than curse the darkness, I present here a list of proposed changes in Federal response that would have, in hindsight, prevented the Katrina debacle. Reform 1: Assume any municipal government involved is blatantly and irretrievably incompetent. Looking back, this one should have been obvious for any disaster involving the city that elected Ray Nagin mayor. America was lulled into a false sense of security by the magnificent response of Rudy Giuliani on September 11th. Since then, we have always assumed that it was some sort of natural law that there was, for every disaster, a Churchill-like figure that would rise to the occasion. This neglects the fact that most major metropolitan areas in America are one-party fiefdoms in which offices are essentially assigned in the primaries based on a political and racial spoils system. This selects for know-nothing back-scratching butt-kissers with no other known skill set. So in the future, the Federal Government must create an Emergency Mayor Reserve (EMR). The EMR would consist of a small group of competent former-mayors (small by necessity) that would be kept in a state of cryogenic preservation in an undisclosed location with Dick Cheney. Upon the outbreak of any attack or disaster, the bozo mayor of the afflicted city would have the option of hitting a 'Competency Alert' button kept on a lanyard around his neck. A Real Mayor Reservist will then be thawed, briefed, loaded onto a cruise missile and fired at the troubled city. Katrina The Racist

This is a great piece by Heather MacDonald (hattip:Michelle Malkin) that further discusses previous arguments I have made on socialist welfare and the manmade destruction in New Orleans. Sometimes when you cry wolf to often as Jesse Jackson and his cadre of bigoted racists have done you become exposed for the charlatans you are. They and the rest of the political hacks on the left continue to moan and cry while millions of american citizens have motivated the most incredible outpouring of the true american spirit in our history. I know how decent americans respond to tragedy it has been written on the pages of our history as the selfless giving people in the world. I am proud of my country, we can do better by moving beyond socialist big government and judicial dicdat to a truelly free america. Growing up in the deep south it was very apparent that the very people, black and white , that so hated the"system"(working for a living) rely on that same system for their very survival. Unwilling to get into the "system" of education ,family and self reliance they fall behind and blame the "system" for their increasing failures. The cycle is easy to see from that point and as it has become worse over generations as a vicious degradation of morale and self worth sets in. For the amount of money we spend on socialist welfare programs we could buy them a house and a private education and cut them loose, forever. One simple move, turn all the gov't run projects into condos and the current residents become owners of their abode, ownership brings pride,and then cut them off from welfare, permanently. I support school vouchers so kids can get out of squalid public schools. The unionization and politically correct feel goodism of our public school system has destroyed it and the anti-family socialists are paving the way.

Katrina showed the inadequacies of bigger government, do we really want more of it?

In New Orleans, beginning Tuesday morning, August 30, I saw men in helicopters risking their lives to save stranded flood victims from rooftops. The rescuers were White, the stranded Black. I saw Caucasians navigating their small, private boats in violent, swirling, toxic floodwaters to find fellow citizens trapped in their houses. Those they saved were Black.I saw Brotherhood. New York Congressman Charlie Rangel saw Racism.Yes, there are Two Americas. One is the real America, where virtually every White person I know sends money, food or clothes to those in need now and in other crises -- regardless of color. This America is colorblind.The other is the America fantasized and manufactured by Charlie Rangel, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, who constantly cry "racism!" even in situations where it does not exist, even when undeniable images illustrate love, compassion and concern. These three men, together with today's NAACP, want to continue the notion of Racist America. It is their Mantra, their calling card. Their power, money, and continued media appearances depend on it.Often, people caught up in accusing others of neglect and sin need to undergo their own personal introspection. They begin to think they alone inhabit the moral high ground. It is high time these men peered into their own hearts at the dark chamber that causes this unceasing labeling of their fellow Americans as racist." They may find in that chamber their own racism -- against Whites.There is only one real America. Beginning Friday morning in Houston, thousands of regular citizens poured into the astrodome offering water, food, clean clothes, personal items, baby diapers and toys, love and even their homes to the evacuees who had been bused in from New Orleans. Most of the givers were White, most of those being helped were Black. But there was Jesse Jackson, busy on TV, accusing the country of not putting Blacks --i.e., him -- on some type of Commission he is demanding. Where was he early in the week? Not sweating with others from around the country who had scraped their last dollar to come help. With Jesse, it's always about Jesse.After decades of hearing accusations from Jesse, Al, Charlie, the NAACP and certain elitists about how racist America is, it would have been refreshing to hear them for once give thanks to those they for years have been maligning. These self-anointed spokesmen for the Black community lead only when it comes to foisting guilt and condemnation, and not when it comes to acknowledging the good in those they have made a career in castigating.As a Rabbi I have a message I wish to offer to my fellow members of the cloth, Reverends Jackson and Sharpton: It is time to do some soul searching. Your continued efforts to tear this country apart, even in light of the monumental goodness shown by your White brothers, is a sin.There are no churches in the world like the American churches. And there are no better parishioners and members of churches anywhere in the world. These churches are saving the day. Their members -- infused by the special and singular teachings of our unique American Judeo-Christian understanding of the Bible -- are, at this moment, writing an historic chapter in giving, initiative, and selflessness They are opening their homes to strangers. They are doing what government is incapable of doing.America works because of its faith-based institutions. It always has. That is what makes it America.So next time the ACLU tries to diminish and marginalizes the churches, saying there is no role for religion in American public life, that an impenetrable wall must be erected separating the citizens from their faith, cry out "Katrina."Next time the ACLU goes to court asking that U.S. soldiers not be allowed to say Grace in the Mess Hall and that communities be forbidden from setting up a nativity scene, ask yourself: without the motivation of Goodness sourced in Faith, would people offer such sacrifice? Where else does this Brotherhood come from but the Bible which teaches "Thou Shall Love Thy Neighbor as Yourself."I saw brotherhood on Fox News, where 24/7 reporters used their perch as a clearing-house for search-and-rescue missions and communication between the stranded and those in position to save. In contrast, the Old-line networks continued with their usual foolish, brain-numbing programming. Those who always preach "compassion" chose profit over people.The New York Times has utterly failed America. Its columnists could have used their talents and word skills to inspire and unite a nation. Columnists such as Frank Rich and Paul Krugman, however, revealed their true colors by evading their once-in-a-lifetime chance to help and instead chose to divide, condemn, and fuel the fires and poison the waters of Louisiana. In them, I saw no Brotherhood. The newspaper always preaching "compassion" verifies Shakespeare's "They protest too much."Similar elitists here in the northeast and on the west coast have over the years expressed their view of the South as "sophisticated" and Texans as "cowboys." Well, the South has come through, especially Houston and other parts of Texas, hereas, as I write this on Labor Day, the limousine oralizers are lying on east and west coast beaches thinking they're doing their part by reading Times' editorials and calling George Bush "racist."How sanctimonious life becomes when proving you are not a racist depends not on living in a truly integrated neighborhood, but by simply calling others racist.Like so often in history, facts trump platitudes. Reality reigns. Those who always preach brotherhood, thus far have acted devoid of it. Those who for decades have been accused by elitists of not having compassion are the ones living it. They are: the churches, the military, and the sons and daughters of the South.

The governor of Mississippi immediately did his own declaration but the governor of Louisiana did not. She was overheard later saying she should have done the declaration much earlier. JB.
WELCOME TO MISSISSIPPI
O.K. I'll make an attempt to tell what's going on down here right now. It's hard to do for several reasons. First, because there is so much , it's hard to talk about. Let's try to focus on the positive. You're right to be sick about New Orleans. They've turned into a bunch of animals over there. The idiots are shooting at the people who are trying to help them???? I think for the most part it's due to the frustration caused by the lack of response by their State Government....I mean, an SOS call? Give me a break. Everybody is so focused on what's going on in the Superdome, the Mississippi story is going un-reported. It's one of the bright things that are happening here now. We are NOT leaving our people to wallow and starve in their own filth ,and the cadavers of loved ones. Were finding the live ones and getting them north as fast a possible. Most of the hundreds showing up here have at least had a meal, and a bath. Haley Barbour the Governor and his administration will come out as true heroes in this disaster once the total story is told. The differences between the Louisiana and Mississippi responses are truly startling. Haley and MEMA had already had Mississippi declared disaster areas TWO DAYS before Katrina hit......What does that mean? A lot........ It means we had a two day head start on recovery. It means we had pre-positioned response teams...FULLY EQUIPPED ! It means we already had supplies being loaded on trucks to go to the coast while the hurricane was still going on. It means Federal representatives from FEMA were already IN State when it hit. Which means somebody on the Satellite Phone moving troops and aid our way while Louisiana was still trying to get ....... . We have been dealing with looters a little differently on the coast. Once you shoot a few and leave their bodies laying in front of the store with their arms full of booty, the rest get the idea pretty quickly. Hasn't been a big problem. In the case of breaking in to get survival supplies...food and water. The police have shot the locks off the doors and helped take the stuff to distribution points. School buses to haul refuges to shelters north, an idea Louisiana JUST figured out by the way, have been running shuttle since Wednesday morning. They are pouring in here by the hundreds. Red Cross has been doing a GREAT job on setting up relief shelters in our area. The local Governments have opened all of the convention centers and school auditoriums to them. I know it's hard to believe, but the local Friday night Football games have ALL been canceled this week. Our efforts are going elsewhere this weekend. My daughter is the editor for the local University newspaper. She asked me what she could do for these folks, and I told her" The main thing they need right now is bottled water". So she made a few phone calls and set it up with her newspaper and the local T.V. stations....in 24 hours they had collected over 600 gallons. This story is typical and is happening all over this part of the state. Pulpwood haulers (lumberjacks to you Yankees) who showed up at Interstates and main feeder hi-ways heading south. Started cutting up the downed trees with their own chainsaws, and loading them up with their hydraulic boom hauling trucks. Opening the way south for our relief effort...nobody called them....they just showed up and started doing what had to be done. Welcome to Mississippi The local churches are jumping in too. Emmanuel Baptist has been cooking and serving three meals a day for 1500 people at the shelter there since Wednesday. Where is the food coming from? Strangers are just showing up at the convention center and dropping it off. Red Cross is providing some of it, but the majority is just showing up....from people who aren't seeking and never will be recognized. It's happening all over the state. again and again. Welcome to Mississippi. Our local hotels are full of people here from New Orleans.....most are starting to run out of money, so we have begun collecting for their hotel bills and providing them with meals at the shelters. Quite a few in town have taken them in to their own homes...knowing they may be there for months. I filled up one guy's tank at the gas station Tuesday because he only had enough money for a few gallons. Welcome to Mississippi. Just stopped and put an antenna on one of our E.O.C. Trucks headed south to Ocean Springs. Their headed down to do a fuel supply run. While here, my daughter came in with another 300 gallons of bottled water, asking where she could store it. I said" How 'bout the back of this truck?" :))) This is how it works, over and over and over ........ Sorry if this E-mail seems a little jumpy, I've been adding to it all day. As I get a minute and as thoughts occur to me. Things are happening all around me, and it's hard to sort it all out while "in the moment". I think that's the way this story will be told.....later It's going to take a while. While I'm thinking about it.....BIG thank you to Motorola. I'm almost as proud of being a Motorolan as I am a Mississippian. You guys may not know about it yet, but Motorola has put on a Herculean support effort. I was involved on the fringes for a while, but the effort to send radios and infrastructure has been nothing short of phenomenal! My guys on the coast called with a SEVERE need for repeaters and W.T's. They had a few towers and antennas still standing, but the repeaters were in about three feet of water. After a few phone calls around the campus there in Schaumburg, I was given the Bridge call number for the emergency request line. Made a call back to my guys and passed it on. I'll be sheep dipped if Motorola didn't have equipment THERE the NEXT DAY!!!!!! HOT DANG!!! That's the way you do it.:))) Mississippians have loooong memories. This one will NOT be forgotten. Anybody see Jim Geary up there....kiss him for me. Lord knows I won't.:))) And anybody else that you know was involved in Motorola's support effort. Tell them Mississippi gives a heartfelt "God Bless You"' Most of us cry at least once a day. You can't deal with the hundreds we have coming in here everyday and not be affected. I've seen big bears break down and just fall apart. Mostly blaming themselves for not getting out in time. That choice cost him a wife, child or in some cases both. They all usually say the same things. "I didn't think it would get that bad." All you can do is listen and try to comfort. Sometimes you see guys just staring into the sunset....not saying anything....but you see those jaw muscles working hard to hold it in. I had one tell me yesterday "We had to choose,Stay in the attic and drown, or climb on the roof into a 150 mile an hour wind. She was screaming my name as she flew away." How do you respond to that? You don't.....you just cry with him and listen.... Loose children who don't know where Mamma or Daddy are, or even if their alive. Ten year olds, trying to be "mama" or "daddy" to a little sister or brother......it will tear your heart out. Most also know there is NOTHING to go home to. The house is gone, and in most cases the job too. They show up here with the clothes on their back, and that's it. It's all they have left. It's hard, just too hard for words.................you do what you can,but.......... FORGET about Mississippi burning. That was our dark, distant past. Watch us NOW. This is Mississippi today. We've opened our Homes,Hearts and wallets to strangers in need. We don't care if their White, Black, Brown or Polka -dot. Were going to be O.K., It will take years, but we're dealing with it. We will deal with it the way only a true southerner can...one day at a time. We're out of gasoline today. All the local stations have run out. My phones are still acting squirrelly on out of state calls and my cell phone has been a paper weight since Tuesday. But I did sleep in my own bed last night, and took a hot shower this morning. There is food in my house, and I know where all my family is. You take these things for granted, until their gone....... Forward as you see fit....

The GWOT

Some disturbing news from Gaza(Hamasistan) ,it seems a great deal of traffic has occured in arms coming from Egypt. Caroline Glick has a great piece up at Townhall discussing the implications for Israel. Gaza is soveriegn now and must either reign in the terrorist or face the consequences of war with Israel as they have shown they have no other desire than to kill Jews not build a society for the innocent palistinian people to live in peace. Are there any innocent palestinians in Gaza?

Meanwhile we are kicking butt in the last major outposts for the AQ network with rapidly increasing tips from locals as Bill Roggio reports from the Fouth Rail. He also has this interesting quote from a Sunni Cleric in one of the embattled cities:

Sheik Mahmud al-Sumaidaei, a leading Sunni cleric whose group is linked to the country's insurgency, criticized militants for targeting civilians. He called for Iraq's religious and ethnic groups to take a stand against further bloodshed.
"I call for a meeting ... of all the country's religious and political leaders to take a stand against the bloodshed," al-Sumaidaei said during his sermon at Baghdad's Um al Qura Sunni mosque.
"We don't need others to come across the border and kill us in the name of defending us," he declared, a reference to foreign fighters who have joined the insurgency under the banner of al-Qaida. "We reject the killing of any Iraqi."

It seems that they are waking up to what freedom means at last. I hope the murderous scum all flee to Hamasistan where they are all gathered in a small area where we can take them out in huge numbers .

Add on: Victor Davis Hanson has one of the best minds out there on the topic as a leading war historian and his latest on what has been accomplished in the last four years is a must read.

Some No Spin

I have my differences with O'Reilly, though I have always loved the way he follows the money and his latest article is a good one and should cool the heals of the loonbats not a lick. The left has moved from just lunatic to lunatic obsessive. You just have to love howling Howard, a slur a minute to decent americans. I read and listen a bit on all sides, from many venues and one thing caught my eye. The vast differences in thought and language is of of course to be expected and the disparity between the parties is obvious. The far right is raising money and volunteers for the relief, the far left is crying about perceived racism that does not exist except in socialism,as in the Soviet Union or France for that matter,in other words "welfare nanny state big government". I see conservative blogs putting out facts and links to all the best places to contribute and the links . Hugh Hewitt has definately led the charge as the rightful Blog Godfather, and the left like Daily Kos, well they squeal like a fresh stuck pig on the way to the barbecue. Air America has four blown tires as we all knew they had loons behind the wheel of a jalopy and wild conspiracy based profanity filled gutteral squeals like those of Nick Berg at the hands of Jihadistan. This along with the innane questioning of John Roberts by the DNC leaders, he showed them to be absolute dunces at what they proclaim so much to protect. Is this the death of the DNC and possibly a rise in the Green, and Libertarian vote? The GOP has returned serve on an ownership free market principle, entreprenourship. Yes, there are some spendinging quirks that are a littl e overboard. I say put Trump in charge of the rebuilding. I bet he would do it pro bono, I heard his testimony about the UN to congress, grin.

Lores has some good perspective up at Just a Woman, she runs WIN, one of those good womens groups, LOL. We are teaming up on an idea I mentioned earlier, more to come.

speaking ,I'll post the transcript. He is right on so far, this is the speech he needed to give.I can't type fast enough. Hit on one of my ideas,will elaborate later on the "homestead idea". As I said let Foggy Bottoms run emergency response only the military has the logistical ability. I would say a fabulous speech though I am biased. All the key points were hit forcefully and and covered in concise detail. I love the fact he openly thanked the churches as my previous post highlites their incredible motivation. As regular readers know one of our own is down there with his church and a friend of the blog a NO resident is now homeless, a HS teacher and great Christian apologist and writer.

Does anyone have transcript yet? I could not find it the WH site.

I was working on a piece on the homestead idea that he brought up. I like it, give them title to that house or condo outright and cut them loose from there, qualified child help of course. It would mean a massive recreation and abandonment of the New Deal thinking, lets explore this idea. For the massive amounts of money spent on welfare and the deplorable state of welfare housing ,we could give it to them with the sign off of further benefits. Ownership instills pride and gives a sense of worth. I say end this socialist game and just do the prudent thing. I am willing to further research this as part of the suggested symposium, ???

A great piece is up by Marvin Olasky on the power of the american churches to mobilize and move well ahead of big government and don't miss Chuck Coulson's piece while you are there. The loony left can blast Christians all they want,we know who are the true first responders,it is those that believe in something beyond themselves and government. What atheists fail to understand is that faith in The Lord brings hope and there is no greater power than hope and when trully combined with His Love no force can stop it. When people have hope they have power, a power that comes from within. Agnostic scientists would write it off as adrenaline, it goes far beyond adrenaline, it is Hope, inspired by prayer that leads great men and women to sacrafice far above and beyond the call of duty and exposes those institutions incapable,ie bigger gov't. I speak only for myself though I would encourage my local blogosphere to start researching socialism and the destructive forces of welfare. Our own mini-Hugh symposium so-to-speak ,any takers? I would agree the discusssion of race and class has been reopened in america and us conservatives at the very roots of america need to have a very valid and compelling argument ready in about 6 months or less as the primaries heat up, informed turnout is necessary. Hey my FBZ buddies, the blogoshere smokes that BBS message board. The Barnyard has added acreage to allow more critters on Board. I hear that Roberts has written a textbook on how to shame the idiots and be confirmed, holy cow, Goat could frame some questions. They were giving speeches to their base, how absurdly funny. Ben Shapiro has a great read up at Townhall and so is Jonah Goldberg's, a must read.

I wonder if the the flight 93 memorial that has been proposed and well covered by Michelle Malkin were viewed in a different light for a second. What about we promote the idea that it represents exactly what hit us and lost on that spot. A reminder that Islamist fascism is the next threat, a red crescent around the memorial of their defeat. A reminder that we must fight and will fight . A little reverse psychology,if you will?!?

My Two Cents

Like I don't give it anyway, From what I have seen there was/is a lack of central coordination in the response effort not lack of response. Yes this falls under the scope of our Guard forces ,they should be given automatic centcom status in a disaster area. Only those in Foggy Bottom can pull off the logistics necessary with trained manpower. Gov. Blanko??? Nothing stinks worse than a run over skunk wrapped in a political agenda because the stink lingers for a long time. A bit of bayou logic to consider

When it is all said and done, there is but one person who is responsible for me, and that is me. The responsibility falls to me to take care of my family, not the government. Society, not government, has an obligation to provide care and sustenance to those who, because of age or physical impairment cannot take care of themselves, but able-bodied people who stand around and complain that no one is doing anything for them deserve whatever the fates cast in their direction. Life is hard, and you either get tougher or you get washed away—it is as simple as that. Politicians will never, ever take care of you—they only want one thing from you, and that is to stay in power as long as they can. In a situation like Katrina, they will stand in front of the cameras and microphones and denigrate everyone above them in government to take the eye off of their pathetic efforts. This is a situation that they have created, and now the good citizens of the area will have to step in and clean up the mess that has been created by the politicians. It won't happen overnight, but it will happen—there are too many good people who live in that area for it not to happen. I love the people of New Orleans and the surrounding parishes, but I despise the politicians... I just hope that when the area is rebuilt, they stay away from the massive welfare system they had before—absolutely no good comes from welfare. [INSIDER LOOK] From a DeputySheriff in Louisiana

I am a Sheriff's Deputy who is part of Home land Security and Emergency Preparedness in the New Orleans MSA. Mayor Nagin has been speaking furiouslyabout the lack of everything from the State and Federal Government. Hereis some info:

1. There are two States here: Louisiana and the City of New Orleans-Orleans Parish. Always has been and always will be. When a State Law passes, LawMakers ALWAYS write whether Orleans Parish will allow the Law or not.

2. When the MSA (Metropolitan Statistical Area) meets for Disaster Planning and Equipment Purchases (6 times a year for the last 15 years), we all agree how we will spend the Federal Money as a team since we are in this together. Orleans DEMANDS they will choose how they will spend their portion.

3. During Communication Infrastructure Planning we ALL (N.O. MSA) purchased Satellite Phones. We all pay several hundred dollars a month as a "JustIn Case Measure". Orleans said their Infrastructure was TOP NOTCH and the money would be better spent on Ford F-150 Pickup Trucks. I dunno what they bought, but it wasn't SAT phones.

4. The looting, Rape (newly wedded European woman was raped and beaten as well as MANY others), etc. That is life in New Orleans.

Why people find New Orleans a romantic, cherishable place is beyond 90%of all Louisianans. It is hot. It stinks. None of us even go into New Orleans without a sidearm and we prefer to leave our women at home. Rapes, thefts, and murder in New Orleans are as common as a high speed pursuit in California.

5. When we enter New Orleans to issue an arrest warrant, the SCAT (StreetCrime Arrest Team) is ALWAYS present. Me and/or other officers have been part of 18 arrests in New Orleans and been shot at 17 times, 11 of those were with AK-47's and 3 of those 11 had two 40-round clips taped together.

6. Even before Mayor Naggin took office the Fed's and State were never allowed to do anything to improve New Orleans. New Orleans ALWAYS wanted the cash to do their own improvements, their way.

7. There was no way in Hell the State was gonna make a move until New Orleans asked for help. There was No way in Hell the Fed's were gonna make a move until the Governor asked for help. That is Law.

8. The people looting and shooting have it better than ever. Those areas are known for people living in crappy homes without electricity. Now theyhave some flood water in their home. They stole guns, ammo and food. They have never had it so good and don't want to leave.

9. The people whining the loudest about racism are the same people who always whined about racism.

10. Jefferson Parish President Aaron Broussard declared martial law Monday night. Mayor Ray Naggin didn't want to alienate any refugees and allowed all this to happen. We sent officers in to help. As a report of an officer being shot and supplies and boat stolen we BEGGED Mayor Naggin to pass Martial Law. NOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!! After 2 days, Our department left New Orleans to die, then Mayor Naggin decided to declare Martial Law.

In our own Parish, we have arrest several refugees. We have recovered stolen Corvettes, Escalades, Mercedes Benz, BMW's, etc. A young Black female ran over one of our officers. She was driving a Nissan with a VIN from an Oldsmobile 88 and a Plate from Alabama registered to a Ford Van.

An elderly white man died because our Hospital was unable to fill his Oxygen Bottle. Refugees have stolen an EMS Generator at the Mobile Command Center.Refugees have stolen an Energy Truck trying to restore power. Most Parishes are out of gas at all stations and most of us cannot drive to work. All gas stations have a 15-20 minute wait for gas. Some stations are selling only 2 gallons per customer. One station raised prices to $5.64 a gallon. The owner refused to lower prices. We promptly hooked him in the cuffs and dumped him in jail. There are tons more.

Mayor Haggin had years and so did his predecessors to prepare,

But they refused and they refused everyone else’s help. Now he is bitching because no one is coming and everything is falling apart.

The media is asking why was the State and Fed's not prepared, New Orleans NEVER allowed us to hold drills. All other Parishes and Baton Rouge have drills just for this.

The media is asking why no help is coming for the dead. They're dead. We are only worried about the living. We are tying the dead to a tree or pushing them aside in an attempt to save the living

I am smiling, for a reason. Let me explain, it is the american people that I smiling for,despite some ingrate socialist welfarat (hattip:Madhatter)from a Fox news story. There has never been as a rapid a mobilization of forces for good in the history of this nation. The Coast Guard was on the spot and hustling there , the USS Bataan , navy troop recovery ship, was off the coast riding the storms tail on tuesday and called Blanko and asked ;"Where do you want us?" she replied "I'll get back to you" and didn't. I have to ask why Nagin was not moving between the dome and center administering to his citizens as Rudy did, Mayor Giulliani was there, inside one of the towers ? There are so many questions yet to be answered and learned from. I have seen the aid and incredible compassion that this nation contains , the american people ,increasingly have proven that fact!

GOD BLESS THEM !!!!!!

This has truelly shown the greatness off our nation,though I am sure, the invetorate carping of a welfare socialist will be of little interest beyond the MSM. The socialist welfare system destoyed the sense of self responsibility and personal pride of self thus the gangs.Terrorists find worth through violence not conversation. They are all the same from Mara Salvastrucha to Al Quaida, murdering thugs and crime lords and must be simply exterminated !

I rock climb and the power to do what this bear is doing is immense though I can't use my mouth as "Booboo" does here and I have climped upside down a few times and as a human it ain't easy and it is still easier than keeping your food from opportunistic bears as my cooler well knows, LOL.

The Battle For Iraq

Bill Roggio at the Fourth Rail is one of the best places to go for updated news on what is really happening in the sandbox and the take and hold mission in Tal Afar, a northern Syrian border town, our boys with the help of the Iraqi army delivered a massive blow to the terrorists there with over 400 thug murderers now dead or captured including three top leaders with only minor casualties to us . OOOOHHHRRRAAAA. This the front town for the ratlines out of Syria and a take and hold operation will hurt the terrorist's supply lines along the Tigris. And Blackfive has reported that Michael Yon is working on another dispatch to be out soon. Reading through the milblogs and those from Iraq like Iraq The Model and others found on the blogrolls paints a totally complete different picture than our defeatist liberal surrender-monkey MSM talking heads would have us believe. There is so much good happening, so many stories about the positive that the MSM just ignores as it does not fit their bash Bush hate America mantra. Surf the blogs for the real news and watch TV for sports and so-called entertainment not news though Fox comes fairly close most of the time.

Some more you won't see or hear on the MSM, Blackfive has a link up to a great photo journal by one of the survivors, it is interesting to see as his photos and comments lay out before during and after the storm and before and during the flooding, as Blackfive put it "you can see the city come apart at the seams" . And don't miss Major Garret's interview with Hugh Hewitt at Radioblogger detailing that the Red Cross and Salvation Army were staged and readt to go into New Orleans and were stopped by state and local officials that based their call on wanting to get the people out of the Dome and convention center and that aid would encourage them to stay. This is un freaking real, add to that, a mobile hospital from South Carolina designed for terrorism response was stopped in Mississippi and denied entry to Louisiana by state officials. There will be investigations into what went wrong and it looks more and more like the corrupt socialistic Dem officials there are going to have a rather large putrifying crow to eat when contrasted with the responses in neighbor states, Haley Barbour stepped up to the model put forth by Rudy Giulliani in the days after 9/11 and delivered as did Bob Riley. Where was Kathleen "Blanko" Blanco, taking days to make decisions that should take seconds and where was NO mayor Ray Nagin, giving interviews in the MSM certainly not in NO leading his city, just imagine the difference if Rudy had been in charge.

TGIF

Sorry I've been limited this week, I had to blow a liberal out of the water, for further reading on that visit Kevin's blog(sidebar), look for the post with alot of comments. My BOR friends will appreciate my comments, LMAO, and he is running for office???? Ah, the Barnyard of old, I am willing to visit and discuss issues with the loony-left but they are unwilling to visit me /us for a conversation, brings back memories of the FBZ and the thread that spawned this blog. I love good conversation even when I disagree if they have a factual logical basis for their argument. Some readers have wondered why I don't post more on illegal immigration, the gay agenda and prolife/anti abortion issues while I am an avid supporter of conservatism. I will try to explain, the II issue is well covered by many well funded excellent groups as are the other two issues. Two of these issues I have little interest in following or learning anymore details because it is a waste of time,abortion and the gay agenda, I am against them 100%, 'nuff said. On the other issue ,control the borders and figure out who is here before a worker program is established and simply enforce the damn law. I do not blog on these issues because so many others already do. Though I wish to include other's thoughts and sentiments it is my page for my interests, I get alot of requests and I can not publish them all as much as I may like to . I like the odd story, the heroic one, the Prayer or motivational, Americana as you will. I miss the pet and critter stories from the FBZ, when I post a picture of nature perhaps that is where those comments can take place??? I know many of the Songbird readers read me here now. I do miss my many friend's from there comments and wisdom. I am a political junkie so that is what I blog on as well as what I am currently reading of interest. I am a simple single dude in Ca. I am not a paid pundit or commentator I am just an american citizen with an informed opinion willing to voice it and Goats like to eat trash,LOL.

As devastating as Hurricane Katrina has been, it now presents New Orleans officials with an opportunity. The city's 60,000 public school students have been trapped in a failing system for decades. There is no reason why the public education bureaucracy and other obstacles to real reform should now follow them as they move temporarily to Texas and elsewhere.

A Salute to Our Sheepdog

A wholehearted one as he and fellow church members head for the gulf coast with a caravan of supplies and even bigger hearts, this is the face of America that I love so much ! I have given him my phone numbers so he can keep us informed hopefully. My prayers and thoughts are with them. I know personally the powerful destruction of storms after tornados rendered my sister's neighborhood blank after they had made one payment on their new home. I hope they have prepared themselves for what they are going to encounter with much prayer for His strength.

Labor Day Grill

On the lighter side of things as our hearts and prayers go out to those multitudes of americans.
What's on your grill today? I have some well marinated pork loin steaks, patty pan squash and of course beans. My trees are full of songbirds singing with lustfull joy and a pleasant breeze blows bringing the smells of other grills. We so often take so much for granted the gifts of this great nation and our Creator that we forget to give thanks for the truelly many blessings we have. I pray we all remember that as we spark up our grills and crack those beers that we give thanks to the Lord for those blessings and pray for those so decimated.

Special thanks to Gail for alerting me and pointing me to someone organizing support efforts for those in the know. He is safe in Baton Rouge with friends. They have been able to get him cash through western union.

Add some some lamb chops in a black cherry sauce and that is a Bogel Vineyard Petite Syrah,a massive bold red wine,yYUMmmnn!

Rescue and Recover

I see the superdome and convention center got evacuated finally and order and S&R missions are now constant. Now comes the difficult task of clean up and identification of the dead and missing, I cannot imagine how difficult, physically and emotionally this task is, I know I am a doer so if I was there I would be busting tail to help where I could since I am trained in emergency medical as a scout,camp counselor, lifeguard, glass tradesman, and mountaineer, I understand trauma treatment on the scene. This has got to be brutally hard as this is not a warzone even for our battle hardened GIs. My hats off,prayers and full support for those folks with this unreal task at hand. The loonbats on the hate america team can stck it where the sun don't shine as our GIs are the best and moral is super high, they have a task and they will accomplish it mith maximum efficiency. I think the ignorant, scared, desparate cries will cool as the individual victims realize the scope of the damage and that they were just a small part of the damage. With no contact with the outside how would they know they were very far from alone? America is a great and awesome country and the people that run it are not omniscient, omnipotent magic beings at any level of government, they are humans,prone to mistake and misjudgement ,its how we learn to do better not cry about it!
