Another OOPS?

The Madhatter has an interesting piece up on an inexperienced nominee for a very important post as head of BICE, Bureau of Customs and Immigration Enforcement. This post needs to goto a former military or law enforcment commander not a cronie's relative.

"Meet Julie Myers. Does the name ring a bell? Perhaps that's because her uncle is Joint Chiefs of Staff Dick Myers. She's also recently married to Homeland Security Chief Michael Chertoff's Chief of Staff. Since they're newlyweds, I send them my best. I hope it's going well. Of course when you're 36, have limited federal government experience and suddenly find yourself on the receiving end of a presidential nomination to head the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, what could be wrong??"

Don't miss the latest from Lores at Just a Woman, she has a great piece up.
"Women Impacting Nations
I apologize for the delayed post today. I'm attending a women's conference this weekend. I had the opportunity to speak at the conference this morning. I spoke on the ways women can impact entire nations.A woman named Deborah impacted the nation of Israel by serving as a judge. When the nation went to war, she was called upon to take on the role of a military advisor. Because of the part she played, there was peace in the land for a generation."
