More on Katrina

Some more you won't see or hear on the MSM, Blackfive has a link up to a great photo journal by one of the survivors, it is interesting to see as his photos and comments lay out before during and after the storm and before and during the flooding, as Blackfive put it "you can see the city come apart at the seams" . And don't miss Major Garret's interview with Hugh Hewitt at Radioblogger detailing that the Red Cross and Salvation Army were staged and readt to go into New Orleans and were stopped by state and local officials that based their call on wanting to get the people out of the Dome and convention center and that aid would encourage them to stay. This is un freaking real, add to that, a mobile hospital from South Carolina designed for terrorism response was stopped in Mississippi and denied entry to Louisiana by state officials. There will be investigations into what went wrong and it looks more and more like the corrupt socialistic Dem officials there are going to have a rather large putrifying crow to eat when contrasted with the responses in neighbor states, Haley Barbour stepped up to the model put forth by Rudy Giulliani in the days after 9/11 and delivered as did Bob Riley. Where was Kathleen "Blanko" Blanco, taking days to make decisions that should take seconds and where was NO mayor Ray Nagin, giving interviews in the MSM certainly not in NO leading his city, just imagine the difference if Rudy had been in charge.

Update: So many great pieces have been written like this one in Human Events that follows my line of thinking in much more detail.

Update: And this great essay at EjectEjectEject sites the essay I reposted here on Sheep, Wolves and Sheepdogs from Lt. Colonel Dave Grossman from his writings on The BulletProof Mind.
