Monday Meander: Updated II

I see the surrendercrats are about to start raising a stink again to give hope to our enemies just as the surge is returning highly encouraging results. As soon as the the Dems start blabbering, the GOP leadership should read Mike Yon's last few dispatches into the record as well as call Bill Roggio and DJ Elliott to testify. Mike's reporting over the last few weeks has been absolutely incredible, he has gotten better and better, and has learned to really put a face on the war and our enemy by talking to the Iraqi people, and the MNF-I forces and the IA/INP. Lots of good news and Mike sounds optimistic for the first time in months while Bill reports on some news from around Iraq with a very hot Daily update, the people hate AQ and the jihadi thug gangs. I have followed Mike around Iraq and Afganistan and back to Iraq and from what he and the troops he follows have I have no doubt about this no matter how difficult for soft Western lefties to stomach.

At first, he said, they would only target Shia, but over time the new al Qaeda directed attacks against Sunni, and then anyone who thought differently. The official reported that on a couple of occasions in Baqubah, al Qaeda invited to lunch families they wanted to convert to their way of thinking. In each instance, the family had a boy, he said, who was about 11 years old. As LT David Wallach interpreted the man’s words, I saw Wallach go blank and silent. He stopped interpreting for a moment. I asked Wallach, “What did he say?” Wallach said that at these luncheons, the families were sat down to eat. And then their boy was brought in with his mouth stuffed. The boy had been baked. Al Qaeda served the boy to his family.

Don't miss Mike's video interviews!
Update: Found this at Bill's site, vewwwy intewwwesting!AQ threatening Iran......!?!
Update: Has Syria reinvaded Lebanon? Michael Totten reports.
PS: If you can send these guys some funds so we can continue to receive unfiltered honest news from the ME. I am short on funds as a new business so I will give them free advertising and promote them all I can.
Yon and Roggio are already on my sidebar RSS feeder, I will also add Mr. Totten as he heads back to Iraq, so visit often and keep your eye on the RSS feeder. Don't forget to add your feedback.

Lots of links at Allah's post so don't skip by.
To lift you spirits a bit is this video, one of the better I have seen.

My biggest regret is not enlisting, dang, that just looks like too much fun.

Good morning Goat. I really hate seeing Harry Reid before breakfast. Dang! I'm going to have indegestion, I just know it!

Thanks for the link to the Michael Totten reports. I bookmarked it and will add it to my links later. Have to run. I have a doctor's appointment for a check up and it's a 70 mile drive.

AQ threatening Iran? Good! I like it when these asshats stay busy killing one another off.

Regarding the second video, your idea of fun is a bit strange. LOL! Must be a man thing! :)

Blessings.

Sorry 'bout that Gayle, didn't mean to disrupt your breakfast. Mike Totten is one of the very best writers on the ME I have found and well worth taking the time to read back through his archives. He and Yon are writing great history before our eyes, there are a few others but the Mike's are my favorites.MJT has some incredible posts from Israel during the war last summer and Lebanon. He lived in the Levant for a longtime and knows it well. Start early in his archives, I have read all of them, and you will get a perspective of the ME that you will not get elsewhere. As a newbie to his site Gayle, treat it like a book and start at the beginning.

Deleted moonbat PL, What question do you have about the economy you would like me to answer? The stock market is booming, unemployment is at saturation, all indicaters are good to strong. Or would you like me to describe the economic wreck the Democrats want to inflict on the country with monstrous taxation and socialist policies that kill the initiative to work hard to do well? Or should we explore the predatory practices of trial attornies on the medical industry and how that drives up healthcare costs and how Government coverage encourages the corruption? Take your pick moonbat. BTW have you read Dr. Thomas Sowell's "Applied Economics" yet? I realize he is a conservative black man so as a liberal sycophant you won't take him seriously as your mentor Geoff has already expressed his racist feelings about Dr. Sowell. I gather you prefer convicted Enron consultant, Paul Krugman, who is correct....ummmm when? I thought y'all hated Enron?

Oh and PL, perhaps you should spend some time improving your own site before you seek to tear down mine. You little more than a gnat buzzing in my ear and easily slapped down. Go home little girl, the rest of the world ain't Santa Cruz all tie-died and high on drugs. The world ain't safe for pacifist idealists.

Deleted ditxbat PL, did you not read my comment? What econ' issue do you wish me to post about? I am asking for your input as if you have any to add? I will be happy to answer any legitimate question you may have.
You know something PL, you might be able to influence more people by making your own site worth visiting instead of spending so much time and energy trying to influence folks that will never listen to you. Like I said you are not but a gnat buzzing in my ear, annoying but not influential.
Go home little girl and fix your own house before you try to tear down another. You have no standing if your own house is not in order, so go home little girl , you have many chores to do and a house to clean. Yep, you will claim misogeny because you can't handle the metaphoric retoric, typical of a loser. I noticed in two years you have managed to get three people besides me to link to you, while the Barnyard is steadily growing, hmm. Could it be your lack of any real sense of the world but one lost in drugs art and the Santa Cruz flowerchild pipedream?
