California Spring




I figured it is time for some Spring time color just for the sake of it.

Well it's about time, Goat! LOL! Thanks for the pics. I put the last one on my desktop. :)

I especially love the bluebells. We have lots of them here too, only they are mixed with Lady Slippers instead of Buttercups.

It's always discouraging to realize that lupines aren't good feed - they _look_ so tasty!
But they're pretty in any case...this time of year on the Grapevine...up by Gorman...gorgeous!

yes, the beauty of nature is always a good reprieve from the daily ugliness of man.

and i never stop being amazed at how when it appears destroyed it comes back even more beautiful.

eh....Gayle....those aren't bluebells, they're lupine - the purple ones. The yellow/orange, of course, are California poppies. California doesn't have bluebells, as far as I know.

However... "A lupine by any other name... is still really welcome in the spring!"
