Some Reasons Why

A Sierra sunrise on the way to Mt Winchell high in the Palisades.

From the only road into the southern end of California's Lost Coast.
Yosemite Falls from the trail to Nevada Falls, it was spring and the whole valley echoed with waterfalls.
From Virginia Pass on a couple day walk about starting from a buddy's cabin.
All pictures are from my camera.

My son worked for a UCD research team one summer - did soil and water sampling in the Sierras. Brought back some _great_ photos...I tagged them as "postcard" shots...the kind you actually pay for. I'd go with that for yours as well. Well, maybe cut the hiker from that bottom shot...makes it way too...ummm...touristy. Postcard shots have to have people far enough away to make them unidentifiable. I make up the rules as I go along, by the way. :)
He had one that had "nice" scenery...then you looked a bit closer, and saw that Yes...those little dots in a row were the people on their horses and wow! that mountain, valley, and roadway was _huge_!!!

Afterthought...my son had a few of his shots blown up to 5 x 8s, matted them, framed them and gave them to us as gifts(he had started matting and framing as a hobby). Very nice. If you ever get hard up for cash, bet you could do the same and get some very nice prices for some of your shots! Specially the Sierra Sunrise and the Yosemite Falls...!

This is really just cruel, Goat!
;-)
I am so jealous of you.
These pictures are lovely, and I'm sure the reality was ten thousand times better. Yay for you!
