Baaaaaaa!

I can see this is going to be a fun and steep learning curve. I have invited a coeditor whose views differ from mine enough to keep it interesting, a Bostonian GOPer perspective, I hope she signs on. She has been the Goat's "Owl" for quite a while or Cap'n when the pens of literal battle with trolls are joined. My friends from the FBZ probably can guess who and are much welcomed. I will be posting the majority of my links here instead of the FBZ in order to gain a more focused and indepth discussion of the issues. California politics will be a good portion of my discussion. I can't snap my fingers and have it done, though as my friends know it will be grown and never finished as my garden is with ever bigger and better eats.

Do you mean "Double Secret Probation" Rigoli by any chance? Although she and I are now mutually-respectful fellow PMers, who have communicated infrequently via e-mail, we don't see eye-to-eye on at least a few social issues, e.g., abortion, homosexuality, and, generically-speaking, "sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll" (a la Kid Rock). In my humble opinion, she's a victim of a sort of Stockholm Syndrome, i.e., by living in the blue-state capital of New England, she has gradually been brainwashed with some of the libs' and Lefts' most pernicious, insidious, and deleterious ideologies. Usually, when discussing most issues, Lisa is most factual and logical, but when it comes to the issues I've mentioned, she usually resorts to myopic, misguided, and egotistal emotionalism, e.g., "It's my body", "They're nice and earn a good living", and "He writes great lyrics and supported the troops". Despite me believing she is a libertine libertarian RINO, possessing the same fiscally-conservative, but socially-liberal, spirit as Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, Lincoln Chaffee, Arlen Specter, Christie Todd Whitman, Rudy Giuliani, and Arnold Schwarzennegger, e.g., and don't believe she really promotes a truly conservative agenda, I certainly welcome her input, feedback, and fighting spirit. I hope to soon be "welcoming aboard" Lisa to "The Barnyard". Eventually, I hope she carefully reads, and prayerfully considers, "The 1963 Communist Goals", "Porn Nation", and the two AFA homosexuality PDFs I've referenced, in order to comprehend the clear-and-present dangers presented to the United States by many socially-liberal practices.

GG - Did you know her before the BORMBs fka FBZ? Lisa and I e-mail back-and-forth occasionally, discussing BOR's challenges with "the falafel", what the legal ramifications might have been, my efforts to get her reinstated after the Blue Staff overreacted, and her providing me with TORF SBVT-related transcripts re: BOR smearing them unfairly, unjustly, and before engaging in good-faith and duly-diligent research. We agree on just about everything as concerns small government, defense, illegal aliens, and fiscally-liberal, economically-leftist, politically-correct, and non-socially-conservative issues. We've only tussled recently re: abortion, homosexuality, and Kid Rock. I like and respect her, and even when we disagree, we keep it civil, so please don't worry about us, okie-dokie? :-) I was simply "welcoming" her, in my own inimitable way, and letting her know I'm not going to give her any slack in "The Barnyard". LOL. If you believe my post might keep her from interacting with all the other "animals", however, I won't mind if you delete it ... although I might then have to start referring to you as GGTBBN. LOL. Just kidding. Have a nice weekend. - MAS

Yeah. Hell of a welcome. Goodbye.

Agave Precipitation - Once again, please don't take my opinions so personally. After all, I didn't take all the Christophobic and misoChristic adjectives you utilized, during our AFA and Kid Rock discussion, to describe folks of my ilk, personally. FWIW, I, too, at times, have demonstrated "a lack of discernment or long-range perspective in thinking or planning", opinions that were "poorly conceived or thought out", and an emotionally-grounded prejudice based on "selfishness and self-centeredness". I freely admit that I am just as wrong when I do this, so please don't feel I was picking just on you. When it comes to the topics I've mentioned, however, you do seem to leave, at least to me, the facts and logic behind, and resort to emotionally-based and -biased drivel. Just my humble opinion, of course, so take it for what it's worth, as I'm sure you will. Additionally, I don't believe I'm off-the-mark when indicating your "social politics" and "fiscal economics" seem to follow closely to those of politicians like Christie Todd Whitman, Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, Lincoln Chaffee, Arlen Specter, and other blue-staters that seem to be socially-liberal and "unrestrained by convention or morality" re: abortion, homosexuality, and, generically-speaking, "sex, drugs, and rock n' roll", along with being "ones who advocate maximizing individual rights and minimizing the role of the state", while obstructing many of the socially-conservative goals and objectives that President Bush promulgated before the election. While the Republican Party certainly has a "big tent", with room for all sorts of non-lockstep thinking, ideas, and opinions, I also believe it to be founded primarily upon rock-solid Judeo-Christian principles and the supporting pillars of traditional morality and family values. In other words, both fiscally- and socially-speaking, it takes the conservative and progressive-in-PRACTICE side of the major issues, including abortion, homosexuality, and, generically-speaking, "sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll". If you doubt this, please compare-and-contrast compassionate, commonsense, and capitalistic conservatism with the "1963 Communist Goals". This is why, while genuinely welcoming all your fiscally-conservative points-of-view, I believe your socially-liberal POVs to be more in step with many of "the enemy within's" ultimate goals and objectives, and this is the reason I believe you all are Republicans In Name Only aka RINOs. While I believe RINOs to be "better" than neo-Marxist "red diaper doper babies" like Kennedy, Kerry, Clinton, Biden, et al, who are fiscally- AND socially-liberal, I'd sooner vote for a traditionalist, originalist, and strict constructionist conservative Christian like Zell Miller than a so-called "Republican" like Olympia Snowe, Lincoln Chaffee, or members of "The Gang of 7". If you take the time to peruse and ponder my extensive references re: abortion, homosexuality, and pornography, e.g., you'd understand better where I'm coming from, and wouldn't rely on the GLBT, NOW, and ACLU talking points that deliberately and falsely attempt to portray folks like me as some sort of Gladys Kravitz clones or puritanical and pedantic prigs. To conclude, I did make it clear, or so I thought, that I was greeting you in my own inimitable way and truly "welcome[d] [your] input, feedback, and fighting spirit". If I didn't, I wouldn't have tried to help get you reinstated as a fellow PMer. To the contrary, I would have attempted to place both of my feet squarely and firmly on your windpipe when you were temporarily down. As actions speak louder than words, I hope you keep that in mind. Hope to see you later in The Barnyard, have a nice week, and best regards always. - Ovis Aries Canis Familiaris also sometimes not-so-affectionately known as SheepDIP - LOL
