Climate Facts Not Fiction

The Great Global Warming Swindle

Google Video is here if the above doen't work.
Lots of good information can be found here, pointing to the oceans as climate drivers not the atmosphere or the 1% of human created CO2. It seems that Al Gore and his buddies left out the most important atmospheric greenhouse gas that makes this planet hospitable, dihydrogen monoxide vapor better known as water vapor and if you live in a humid region you know what I mean. Ocean warming is what causes atmospheric warming and that is caused by the earth's core, ice is melting at the poles because of warmer water not warmer air as 90% of the ice is underwater with greater ability to transfer that heat and melt the ice. Ice is actually increasing inland on Antarctica and this winter saw the extent of the sea ice set a modern record. Don't buy snake-oil from bloated politicians seeking to control how you live with little regard for the actual consequences or concern for the environment. Do your own research there is plenty of info out there and almost none of it supports Al Gore's radically gross exagerations of global doom, he is just a politician with a massive tax scam afoot, that is why he won't debate anybody and why he won't run for President.
To think that man can control a climate that has been warming and cooling for gazillions of years is just plain foolish wishful thinking. Being clean and green is a good thing but bankrupting the economy for a pipe dream is as idiotic a proposition as has ever been put out there. Even if we were able to actually enact Kyoto around the world and reach its goals it would have a very miniscule effect on temperatures, wow about 1 degree at a cost of trillions of dollars. Pretty stupid, eh? Are you willing to pay a few thousand more for power a year for no real reason other than to enrich some carbon traders like Al Gore that have a larger carbon footprint a week than most families have in one year? Do your homework!
For some contrast Hot Air has these two video clips posted, remember the candlelight NBC Sunday Night football broadcast.

Glenn Beck at CNN responds.

Not to mention the UN and their staffers jetting off to balmy Bali, Indnesia for this winters climate conference, I guess Turtle Bay gets a little chilly that time of year so lets all fly to a 5 star resort in Bali to dicuss global taxation of carbon. I guess they forget we are made out of carbon and release it when we breathe, get the picture.

thanks for posting this, goat. i heard about this over a year ago - and i couldn't help but laugh... last summer - when on our annual vacation - my husband and i were talking to a woman who (with a straight face) said we needed to figure out a way to get rid of "those trees that need carbon dioxide to live so we can reduce our need for greenhouse gasses and live a more green life." i kid you not. she's an attorney and a staunch adherent to all that the idiocy of code pink, moveon, etc... sheesh.

Heidi,I guess she didn't know the trees clean our air better than anything else and they breakdown the CO2 and store the carbon while releasing the oxygen we need to live. I wish one of those idiots would try to debate me but they won't. I have two/three goals with this site, beat Hillary and global warming lunacy while electing Mitt.
PS: "Attorney" means she sucked at science and math just as Al Gore did, D average.

Hiedi, I bet she gets mad when you rebut her arguments as well. I have some friends that buy into the garbage as well though I can usually get them off the bandwagon and into some sreious conversation. I gotta be on my game though with the facts and some of the sites I have found the last couple days are wonderful for that, favorite, Icecap, I did instantly.

BTW, I am a very green "crunchy con" conservationist and amateur naturalist. I wonder how many of the loft living enviromentalists have a yard classified by the World Wildlife Federation can call their yards wildlife habitat as I can

i love icecap - favorited it as soon as i found it.

we live in the city, but do our best to be conservative on the environment. taking care of the environment (or trying to) doesn't mean you're a bleeding heart liberal. most of the people i know who claim to be environmentalists are so in words only...

Spot-on post, Goat.

I've had the "man-made" Gorebal Warming debate with several liberals here in Chicago and elsewhere, and most of them do get mad when I ridicule their baseless arguments.

The fact is, I have yet to meet a single proponent of that mallarkey who can actually cite a single shred of evidence to support it.

My conclusion is that they only believe it because they want to believe it, which is a tendency most liberals apparently share on a great many issues.
