It Is Here

Super Tuesday in the largest primary in our electoral history and my vote has been cast. It is a beautiful day in California so weather will not affect the turnout. There was a bitchy woman independent voter growsing with a pollworker about not being able to vote in the Presidential Primary except in the Democrat's or American Independent's, she argued and grumped about the electoral system till she realized she could vote for the Dems. Figures, eh, bitching out the poll worker for following the rules and wanted to vote for the Dems, I bet she's a Hillary supporter.
Update: GOP turnout should be good because of a Proposition put on the ballot by two of the most corrupt far left pols in California to change our term limits laws to allow them more time to finish ruining the Golden State. Both the Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez(D) and Senate Pres. Don Perata(D) are termed out this year and if it passes Nunez would get three more terms and Perata one. Right now a pol is limited to 3 two year terms in the Assembly and 2 four year terms in the Senate for a total of 14 years, the trickedly worded change would shorten the total time to twelve years but allow it to be served all in one House. I voted NO on Prop 93.
Update: Wow Georgia has already been called for Obama, it must have been a real landslide there, Hugh quoted some exit poll at 75-20, the earliest returns are showing 65-29 and a three way race in the GOP.
Update: Ouch, some of the early returns I am seeing at Politico have more voters turning out for either Barack or Hillary than all the Republicans combined especially in the heavily liberal North East area. Barack is stomping Hillary in the South and the West. Sad to say Mitt is having a less than stellar night but neither is McCain, Huckabee is still there and picking up some states from McCain.
Update: McCain won New York with less than 1/3 Hillary's vote count and half of Obama's and both have more than the GOP combined, ouch. Obama is winning big in the West and South and trading close ones with Hillary. Mitt is showing well in the West so far picking up some deep red small states, Utah by 80%. As I look through vote totals for the parties I admit to being very disturbed at what I am seeing. We are not going to be facing Hillary, it will be Barack Obama. Where Hillary has won it has been close, where Obama has won it has been big and their delegates are rewarded proportionately. One high point for me is Ron Paul is getting beat by 'other' in a number of states.
Update: This is one weird state for sure, the liberal propositions went down in flames and the conservative position won, I give up, aaarrrggghhh, The people don't know what to think and neither do I. We had seven Props on the ballot out here and they are all going the conservative way and the POTUS voters are all over the place. We are winning some important Propositions though, thank you California on defeating Prop 93!!!!! This is one crazy state, pure hell if you are a conservative Republican with a strong libertarian streak, like me.
