A New Name For McCain

I know lots of folks on my side of the political spectrum love to call him a RINO, Republican in name only, but I would suggest we add an an "h" as in rhino. They will go over, under, around, or through whatever gets in their way and perhaps that is just what the GOP needs at this time. I will say the guy is a real fighter after getting up out of the mud of July and charging to the front with a ferocity that we need. Yea, call me a flip-flopper but I was relieved to see him beat Huckabee in Virginia tonight as I have had Huck behind even Dr paul in my personal rankings for a long time. I know conservatives have had a love/hate relationship with our maverick for years but now we need to consolidate behind him to beat the social Marxist policies of either Obama, likely, or Clinton II, unlikely. Pick yourselves up dust off and mount up, we have elections to win from school boards to Congress and the Whitehouse, we ain't got time to bitch and moan, we have a serious job to accomplish. This Goat for one does NOT want to see Euro-socialism, defeatist attitudes prevail in this great country and that is what all Democrats offer and all they have to offer, from each according to his ability to each according to his need, Marxist communism. Remember this, populist=socialist, progressive=regressive and Democrat=surrender to the jihadis and higher taxes and oppresive regulation of the people.

Goat, is that guy still bothering you? LOL.

There's only one reason to vote for McCain that I can see and that's the slight possibility of getting at least moderate Supreme Court justices.

I don't even count the GWOT because no matter what the Dems say right now, they're not going to fail in that on their watch... well, maybe Obama would but he's just niave. Plus, when you start separating fact from fiction in regards to McCain, I'm not all that sure he'd do a very good job of it, either. He has such an ego I can imagine him telling his generals that he knows more than they do about everything.

What a choice we have this election, huh?

Hilbilly, that troll hates me because I exposed him for supporting some very radical groups like NAMBLA.
On JM and the GWOT, if anything he would be more aggresive and Obama is going to be their nominee. In his speech last night he promised to lose the war and raise our taxes to pay for his Marxism. To me that is a damn good reason to vote for JM even with a nose clip.

Goat, of course you are right again...Even though I hate the thought. If we don't get together nothing will get accomplished, and if we don't like what is being sold we can address it, Even if it is after the fact....stay well...

Goat, I may well end up voting for McCain... most likely will as the best choice available because I love my country. But I'd rather do it in my own time as I figure out what to expect from him than on demand of a party that really does not have my or any other conservative's best interests in mind. When the party demands that you get "on board" for the party it becomes not much different from the Democratic "collective."

I will neither support him monetarily or by plugging positive posts for him. I will simply vote and that's the best he can expect from me, if anything at all. Sometimes, and I've said this other places, I beleive the government needs a few doses of political tough love.

I understand Hillbilly and that is your perogative as a voter. There are some solid conservatives in your state to help get reelected like Mitch McConnel, he has been aawesome as our Senate leader and maybe y'all can get Fred to run for Gov.

Rick you may be a bit of a nut but you are definately not a moonbat troll, LOL, dang Gator fans.

Actually, McConnell is in the state above us but I agree that he needs reelection. We have Corker and Alexander here. Corker has done fairly well with his first term as a Senator. Alexander? Mediocre. I suppose mediocre is better than terrible, lol. We need to work on the Reps, though. Too many Democrats there.
