Who Is Barack Obama?

So Just who is this man that wants to be our next President and what does he believe? Obama like the rest of us is the sum total of his past that has shaped his world view. Most of his adult life has been rather obscure to the vast majority of voters and they deserve to know just what he believes. His speeches while soaring and very well delivered are intentionally very vague and his minions in the liberal media do their best to suppress any negative information about him or scream 'racism' when it does get out. Put simply Obama has spent most of his life on the far left side of American politics, he is not a moderate or post-partisan, he is a hyper-partisan and the most liberal member of the US Senate that votes the Party line 95% of the time. He is not a reformer other than trying to reform America into a socialist state.

The best profile I have read about him can be found at Discover the Networks that has a very detailed and footnoted essay on him. It covers all his anti-American radical associations, the groups he has worked for, what he has voted for or against as a lawmaker and much more. They also offer a long list of other articles and videos about Obama on the same page. I know most of this won't bother his far left base supporters but it should disturb all the centrists on the left and right that are leaning his way based on his hopey changey message. It also provides plenty of blog fodder for the right wing blogs to use since the new media is left to carry the message the old media won't so spread it around along with this page that has links to profiles of all his associates.

I might as well add this video of one of his foreign policy advisers, Samantha Powers, advocating the US invade Israel to protect the palestinians. This was before she was hired by Obama and she has taken a back seat for now but not for this but for calling Hillary Clinton a monster. Obama while on the board at the Joyce Foundation and the Woods Fund helped siphon huge amounts of money to PLO bagmen Rashid Khalidi and Ali Abunimah(hattip Hot Air)

Update: From Dartblog via AoS, this is interesting, a report from a Palin fundraiser here in NoCal today.

So what played to this audience? What caused genuine applause? Well, one line, in particular: near the end of her twenty-minute speech, Sarah Palin told the audience that out on the hustings one comment from supporters has dominated, in frequency, all others: tell people about the real Barack Obama. She said this quietly, without drama. But: thunder, hoots, an ovation. It was the one real firework in her stump speech; yet from the cadence of the speech one could tell that it was not intended thus. Audiences know that standing up for one particular line in a political speech is reserved for positive lines—lines that honor someone, or declaim some principle, or express some affirmation, or promise some victory. Rarely are audiences moved to bolt from their chairs over a negative line. (They’re more likely to boo affectedly.) But Mr. Obama’s guile has created considerable resentment—so much, in fact, that even a flat recitation of his positions, with not a drought of oratorical flare, dazzles and refreshes and fires an audience.
