SCOTUS Overturns DC Gun Ban

In a victory for Second ammendment rights the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that indeed the right to keep and bear arms is an individual right not a collective one and that outright gun bans are unconstitutional. This just another reason to support John McCain as the Justices he would support are in the mold of those in the majority and Obama likes those in the minority and is a gun control advocate himself. Roberts, Kennedy, Alito, Thomas and Scalia were in the majority with Scalia writing the opinion with Breyer, Stevens, Ginsberg and Souter in the minority.
In other news the NRA is already going after similar bans in Chicago.

Five to four is indeed scary, and it's even scarier that this was as issue in the first place. What is it about the second ammendment that people don't understand? It gripes me that they had to vote on it at all!
