Mitt Romney Rising
Mitt easily won the Michigan Mackinak straw poll at the GOP convention there. Fred and Rudy flopped, John came in second and Ron Paul beat Fred and all spoke to the convention, the biggest gathering of GOP activists before the early primary.
Hugh Hewitt has a post discussing Mitt's strategy and that he is right on track and with strong leads in all the early states.

Interesting, so who is keeping the over all average of how Mitt Romney and the rest of them are doing as far as wins/loses by how many conventions and what not?
Real Clear Politics is about the only one, Phil. Mitt is working the retail politics and not worrying about national polls. I have been a Romneyite for years though so take me with a grain of salt. Mitt does 3-6 events a day everyday, shaking hands and kissing babies, retail politics at its best with a strong positive message.
