Democrats Play In South Carolina Today

They vote in their primary today amid reports of record turnout, Barack has led all recent polls by a large margin but they were wrong in New Hampshire. Here's something to make you queasy, if Barack were to win in Nov. just imagine an Attorney General named John Edwards as I have been hearing rumors of from none other than the Prince of Darkness himself, Bob Novak. Polling has closed so results should start trickling in soon. It will be interesting to see how the King and Queen of sleazy politics spin the results.
Update: 30% reporting, Obama 54, Clinton 27%, Edwards 20%
Update: 85% in, Obama 54, Clinton 27, Edwards 18
Update: finals, Obama 55%, Clinton 26%, Edwards 18% , the Cinton duo has to be smarting a bit, that was a huge loss and should give Obama a huge bounce. Like I said let's see how the Clinton smear machine spins it.

Looks like Obama did OK. And Clinton says he "got carried away."

I think it's hilarious that the Republicans aren't going to have to lift a finger or produce any campaign to get rid of Hillary. Obama is doing their job for them.

Yep but Obama will be a little tougher to beat and require an entirely differant strategy. The Democrats are being torn as bad as the GOP. I relish a bloody race on the Democrat's side.

This is great! Hussein will be infinitely easier for the Republicrats to beat than Hillary--and she must be eliminated from contention at all costs!

GO BARRY!!!

I wouldn't place too much faith in an Obama nomination just yet -- though I would welcome it, precisely because Obama would be easier to beat in the general election.

His wet-behind-the-ears political experience level and complete ignorance of international politics will still weigh in heavily at the polls in a lot of states.

And then there's the ever-adaptable Clinton campaigning machine to consider.

I agree with you, Goat. We need Hillary to win the primary. She'll be far easier to beat than Obama. He may not have the experience he should have, but he's got charisma (unlike Hillary) and he's one heck of a speaker (also unlike Hillary). Good grief, I even like the guy, I just don't want him as President! Fortunately South Carolina is not indicative of the rest of the country.

Hillary also has far more skeletons in her closet than Obama does.
