A Note To Readers
As the primary season grows tight and harried in the GOP race I want all to know that I am willing to discuss issues and policy. I am a Mitt Romney supporter till we have a nominee and then I will get behind that nominee with the same fervor that I support Mitt. You can boost your guy and I don't mind but when you sink to disparaging others because they don't support your candidate you are worthy of being blocked from commenting. I have friends that support Fred, Rudy and John, no Huckleberries that I know of, and we have great fun discussing issues and just being friends and fellow bloggers. We have our reasons for our choices and I respect them and they respect me the same. We have no reason to do otherwise, why should we, we just want the best person to lead OUR PARTY. I believe Mitt is the best man to do that and you may differ in thought but we can't take our eyes off the goal of beating Hillary or Obama. I don't want to hear so and so is the only person that can win, make your case and we will discuss it like adults and friends.
I will add this to finish, , I am also willing to jump in the mud and wrestle the pig, I love BBQed ribs and will put that pig on the grill.

Well said, Goat. As I've noted before, I'm impressed with Romney on many issues, and I'm confident he's got a robust foreign policy, geared to lead is in a tough period of international affairs.
The conservative bickering is expected, but problematic in any case. The sooner we all agree on a nominee, Romney, McCain, or whoever, the better. We've got an opposition to beat in November. Let's keep our eyes on the ball.
It sounds as though you've recieved some nasty commentary, Goat, or else read some on other people's blogs, as I have. I respect every conservative's choice of whom to back, as you do. We don't need to be bickering among ourselves, and I'm glad you wrote this post!
Thanks y'all, I have tremendous respect for the both of you. It is one thing to debate policy positions past and present and they should be debated. I am just so sick of all this "only true conservative" bull I could scream all have their strong and weak points as did Reagan. They are all infinitely better than Hillary or Obama.
Goat: I found this on the Democrats and Alinksy:
"Saul Alinsky, the hero of bloodless socialist revolution in America, was a master at explaining how to patiently use whatever weapons one has to bring about the transfer of power from the Haves to the Have Nots. Alinsky's definition of the Haves was broad and rather ill-defined; he simply called the Haves the "establishment." He included all those whom he believed stood in the way of his re-ordered vision. People with money. People with status. People in government. People in the corporate board rooms. Unsympathetic people in the media. The lawyers. The doctors. The merchants. Non-unionized workers. And on and on."
It's over at American Thinker
For a number of reasons I am not talking much about the elections, not because I don't care, but because I am somewhat bewildered by what is being offered this year.
Don I left you links to those articles the other day at your place and wondered what you thought.
Shoprat you ain't alone.
Goat -- please tell me that you are watching the Domocrat debate right now! Hillary and Obama are about to come to a fist fight and are making complete idiots of themselves. Unfortunately it is making Edwards look smart and levelheaded by comparison.
Sweet, I wasn't but I am now. This will rip apart the Democrats base, thanks for reminding me TFF.
It's like watching a bar room brawl without the benefit of the beer and piano music in the background. Move over WWE we've got Democrats now!!!
I gave up and decided to stimulate my intellectual side by watching Fox sitcoms while waiting for "The Sarah Connor Chronicals".
I'll post some video clips later and put the ribs on the grill.
Well, Goat, I'm not so sure about Alinksy, but I'm not worried. The GOP's brutal on campaign strategy, and expect a McCain general election campaign to be no exception (can't say about Romney, although he'd better be prepared to play hardball).
Mitt knows how to play hardball, after all he has been the target from the start of this. He can handle the Clinton machine or the Obama change/hope mantra with real policy and not capitulation. Remember Mitt is known for his take no prisoners business approach to change and was highly successful at it. I wish we could mash all the GOP contenders into one super candidate, LOL.
Don, we cancel each other out in Ca so we might as well work together for the betterment of the GOP.
Why do we have to act like adults???
