Romney Builds Steam, McCain Takes Hits

New polls out in Florida show Romney is getting the bump and McCain sinking and with Fred now out of the race and 75% of his voters going to Mitt and Phil Klein reporting from the road in Florida says he is starting to pick off some of Rudy's support as well. Mitt's prowess on economic issues is playing well with voters in Florida concerned about the economy.
Meanwhile McCain's Straight Talk Express has changed its tires for flip flops on illegal immigration and tax cuts and he has admitted he knows nothing about economics. I guess that's why he opposed the Bush tax cuts and voted to increase taxes 50 times. McCain may be the MSM darling as they want to tell GOP voters who is our best candidate because he is closest to their liberal thinking, meaning he compromises and capitulates to the Democrats while saying his own party is broken. Michelle Malkin is taking him to task on illegal immigration and reminds us that McCain has called the base bigots because we wouldn't let him and his liberal cohorts ram amnesty down our throats. McCain does not respond well when his actual record is attacked and his hot temper is legendary in the Senate literally cursing out fellow GOP Senators for not buying his liberal proposals. He was also caught saying Americans wouldn't pick lettuce for $50 an hour in the Arizona summer, several in the audience said they would, problem is lettuce is a Winter crop in Az. I guess he has spent to much time with that cabbage headed Ted Kennedy.

Goat, I'm going to repeat the answer I gave you on my post "The Fat Lady Sings..." post, so you'll know where I am and it fits in with this post:

"Goat, although Walt is a VFW, he believes that McCain will be more electable. His main concern is keeping a Democrat out of the White House. I realize Romney is the most conservative, but can he beat the Dems? What I do know is that it's incredible that as a Republican he became governor of a liberal state like Massasschusetts, and that is impressive indeed! Walt is impressed by that as well. I need to see how he does in Florida." :)
