McCain: Greeny Liberal

In a blogger conference call today John McCain compared drilling for oil in ANWR to drilling in the Grand Canyon or the Everglades and supports euro-socialist cap and trade policies. He doesn't want to drill off our coasts so how in the hell are we going to get off foreign oil if we can't develop our domestic sources, bio-fuels are a colossal pipe-dream and completely unfeasible to replace oil. Battery operated or hybrids do far more damage to the environment through the production and disposal of the batteries just as bio-fuels do. We have plenty of oil but the liberals won't let us refine what we pump, won't let us pump what we know we have and won't let us look for new sources and that is John McCain's position. I am all for green technology but I am realistic about the here and now and we need to tap our domestic supplies like never before, I believe most Republicans and Americans in general support that position. Gasoline is not the only product we get from oil, the plastic industry and cosmetic industry also rely on petroleum by-products.
John McCain is a great American hero and an honorable man but he is so wrong on so many things that he is more a moderate Democrat than Republican and does not deserve our parties nomination. I mean if Cuba and Venezuela can drill off Florida's coast why can't we?

Left up to the libs, we'll never get off foreign oil, Goat. They'd like us to cook over campfires in our backyard (don't know why. Doesn't that cause air pollution?) and run around in little pill-box cars! That may be fine for some folks, but as I stand at nearly 5'10", I am not a midget! I once owned a Fiat. Most of the time I couldn't get out of the car without banging my head. I couldn't get rid of the thing fast enough!

We need to build more nuclear plants and use the French developed method of recycling used nuclear reactor fuel. It is very efficient and can recycle about 70% (I think) of the old fuel and turn it into usable fuel. Then drill in ANWAR and off the coasts. And build high efficiency fuel refineries

I sure as hell won't vote for a Dem, and after running all of the Republican candidates through my 62 year old seive, there is only one I can endorse, and that is John McCain. Sure, he has his down side, but from where I sit, he is the only one that can beat Clinton or Obama. I have agonized over this and just can't see it any other way...

I understand maddog but don't let the MSM tell you who is the best to beat Hillary instead look at who they fear most, Mitt and Fred. I will vote for John in the general but he is not our best candidate. Heck the anti-war crowd supports him telling me they will turn like rabid dogs should he get the nomination.

Oh, I agree that John is not as polished as Mitt, and please don't insult me, I don't take my lead from the MSM...
