McCain Must Be Stopped: Updated
Dan Riehl is absolutely correct in his assessment that the smarmy, snarky, senile John McCain we saw last night will get killed by Obama or Hillary and with it everything conservatives have fought for for decades to come. Dan also links to this piece by Mark Levin that conservatives have to get behind Romney with all they have.
Update: Great article in Human Events on the hijacking of the GOP primaries by independents and the MSM trying to force feed us John McCain. As my good friend and Fredhead, Heidi, points out in the comments that it was the MSM that killed Fred and is trying to do the same to Mitt. The MSM simply despises conservatives because we don't buy their socialist drivel and bow down to them so they are trying their darndest to steal an election cycle from us. I think all primaries and caucuses should be closed to party members only and if indies want a choice they should join a party instead of trying to be king makers. Party members deserve to be able to choose the candidate of their choice or why be a member at all. I saw an idea I liked about setting three primary dates and divide the delegates up evenly up over those dates with two weeks between them. Screw a bunch of subsidy addicted farmers in Iowa, liberal indies in New Hampshire and misplaced New Yorkers in Florida and South Carolina telling the rest of us who we should have as a candidate to vote for.
Update: I just saw that Sean Hannity has thrown in with Mitt Romney, that is big as Sean is a true blue conservative icon with the second biggest radio voice in America and popular show on Fox.

i couldn't agree more. however, all of this would be moot if people had turned from the pollaganda and put all their weight behind fred instead of worrying if he had enought pizzazz.
Fred simply waited to long to get in and make his case Heidi.
i disagree, goat. he announced at the time when, historically, republicans announced. the ONLY reason it made a difference is because the media TOLD people it made a difference and the lemmings believed it.
But times have changed, Heidi, by waiting he let the narrative get set before he could correct it in this new era.
Goat, I agree with your assessment. Our choice now is limited and hopefully we wont have to chose which candidate will best support my values.....stay well.....
You are right about Thompson, Goat. He came in too late with too little. He had some fire in his last debate, but it wasn't enough. It's a shame. He didn't realize times had changed so drastically. If he had been running even 30 years ago I think he would have done far better, but it's not 30 years ago... it's now. I don't really blame Fred. His campaign manager is to blame. Unless, of course, Fred just wouldn't listen. But Fred is water under the bridge and we need to stop focussing on him. He is no longer important because he's gone!
We have Mitt and McCain, period! I much prefer Mitt over McCain. My hubby - even though he said he would back Romney - is thinking about voting for McCain again, believing him to be more electable. I don't think so, and am going to read some of your posts to him. He is of course free to vote for whoever he likes. But he is a very intelligent man in spite of the fact that he really doesn't understand that many people will vote for personality and McCain doesn't have one! "Snarky" is a very good description.
BTW: Fractured Friday is up. Come over and take a load off! :)
