Ouch, This Will Leave A Mark
Ann Coulter lights into McCain's lies and flip flops on taxes and illegal alien amnesty. With the exception of the GWOT McCain would essentially be the same as electing Hillary, he has voted with the Democrats on raising taxes and drinks the Al Gore kool-aid on global warming and opposes domestic oil exploration.
And Mark Krikorian at NRO.
We all know John McCain is terrible on immigration. For years he held America’s sovereignty and security hostage to amnesty and increased immigration, and his newfound support for “enforcement first” is so insubstantial and transparently insincere that it insults our intelligence. He’s so bad that Americans for Better Immigration ranks his performance in office as the worst of all the presidential candidates — including Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. (See the GOP grid here and the Democratic one here.) And as Robert Rector of the Heritage Foundation has pointed out, passage of McCain’s bill “would represent the largest expansion of the welfare state in 30 years.”
Ouch, and Dan Riehl, a McCain nomination will rip apart the GOP and I am beginning to think so myself just from my observations from around the New Media, blogs and talk radio. A lot of conservatives will sit on their hands feeling that if our country is going to go in the tank it might as well be the Democrats doing it to us. That is what Rush was saying today.
From Hot Air, Michelle, "Not the candidate conservatives can trust."
